We can't always wear the pink glasses and see everything bright and colourful.
Neither we can always sing that song by Edith Piaf La vie en rose, however, we do have a cool initiative here at Hive, the new Photo-Essay contest with the topic PINK. Isn't it wonderful that the contest is back? 😀 There was a break, as the admin explained here, but the contest is definitely back and you can also check it in this post too.
The themes will be monthly, and there are prizes you can win, but don't forget that life is not just about the prizes or points we can get. It is also about having fun, and for me, these topics, when we were searching for items of a certain colour, were fun for sure. I was happy to see the announcement, and now the contest is open until the end of June, so what are we waiting for? Let's search for pink objects.
At home, I noticed that my toothbrush is pink, as well as the product for my hair that I use to comb my hair easily. There is also a painting of pink roses, and some decoration (flowers) in one vase, but guess what! I am not at home right now while I am writing this post, so nope, I can't take a photo of any of those. 😂 I had an appointment with my physiotherapist and then a few hours of a break before I start my lessons... I had my lunch in a park, and there I opened my cosmetic kit I usually take with me in my backpack. There was another toothbrush (not pink), toothpaste, a comb, headache pills, tweezers, a nail clipper, black mascara, sanitary pads, lipstick, and a small tube of hand cream. Finally, something pink here.
The tube is almost empty, so this is a reminder for me that I should buy a new one. Probably the same one, as I like how it smells. 🌸
In the same park, after having my lunch and taking a photo of the hand cream, I headed toward my parked car and saw a little flower. Yes, yes, yes, it was pink!!
More pink flowers, this time roses, also helped me in my quest today to find pink objects. This rose is growing close to the Cultural Centre, where I entered and settled in the library to read something and write this post.
In the hall of the Cultural Centre, there is a selling exhibition of handmade items. Perfect for our topic:
And the surprises don't end here. In the exhibition hall of this building, we can find the works of the students of a painting course.
The student Aila Cuesta painted this and called it: Las montañas rosadas -The Pink Mountains.
Apparently, the next one can't be the work of a student but of a professional. I loved to see La Vie en Rose by Lourdes Soler Pérez.
When I was in the park, I wished I had taken the photos of the pink objects at home, as where I could find them if not at home? Apparently, I found more here, and now, while I am in the library, I took a book from the shelves, a pink one!!
It is a book written by Noelle Stevenson, The Fire Never Goes Out.
I feel so pink right now after finishing this post hahaha. 😇 💕
