Have you ever seen a squirrel admiring a rose? Let me show you then.
This is Sally, the squirrel, looking at me with curiosity or maybe wondering what I was up to with the camera making this clicking noise.
She climbed the pine tree after I have plenty of photos of her.
Now, let me explain how I found Sally. She is one of the two squirrels who we encounter in our factory garden. I highly suspect they live there and we may be lucky to see their babies. Fingers cross.
Each time I arrive or leave, I keep my eyes peeled, one never knows what could see. I am this type of photographer who relies on the luck. I still have not enough time to spend in one place waiting for the bird or other animal to arrive. I shoot while I walk and got little to no time to put the right settings. So, I end up with tons of blurry, not in focus and with noise photos. Anyhow, before I select the best photos of this memorable encounter, here is a gif file that will you give an idea of what I have seen.
I was incredibly lucky to be at the right time, when Sally approached the rose, grabbing the stalk with one paw and stretching to reach it with the other.
All I could do was to keep pressing the shutter and hoping I am goiing to have some decent photos on focus and not too dark, nor too grany.
Oh, yes, she reached it with the other paw.
Look how much effort she put.
And managed to bend the flower.
A little more.
It feels heavy and a challenging task for the squirrel, but she managed it and picked a petal.
Hold it tight, don't let it go.
And munch it.
Unbelievable, isn't it? The squirrel at some point looked like she was sniffing the flower. I was extremely happy to witness this and capture such moment.
