El que lee no roba y el que roba no lee.
¿Te suena este dicho? No recuerdo dónde lo he escuchado o leído, pero hoy traigo un ejemplo palpable de su gran verdad. Lo encontré en Andorra la Vella, junto a la avenida principal. Esa que está llena de tiendas y en la que miles de personas pasean en busca de chollos que satisfagan sus necesidades consumistas.
En una de las calles que cruzan ese paraíso de los compradores llama la atención un colorido rincón y allí que me acerqué a curiosear. ¡Me encantó lo que descubrí! Como ávida lectora que soy, cualquier referencia literaria me gusta y en este caso no iba a ser menos.
No he leído todos los títulos que aquí aparecen, pero sí algunos de ellos y otros tantos están anotado en esa lista de los que quiero leer. Cada buen lector tiene una que crece y crece sin menguar. Necesitaría varias vidas para leer todos los libros que me gustaría, hace tiempo que lo asumí, jeje.
Se mezclan títulos clásicos con otros contemporáneos y de actualidad, también los diferentes idiomas de los turistas que pasamos por allí. El amor por la literatura es universal. Algunos de estos ejemplos traspasaron el papel y llegaron a las pantallas de cine o televisión, logrando así ampliar el número de almas tocadas por sus historias.
Más allá de conformar un bonito fondo para Instagram, lo interesante es que este lugar se trata de un punto de intercambio de libros. Solo fui consciente de ello cuando me detuve a fotografiarlo.
Confiaba en que el propósito de esos estantes se respetase, pues el Principado de Andorra es un territorio en el que se respira seguridad. Sin embargo, sabemos que los amigos de lo ajeno siempre andan al acecho y un centro comercial al aire libre es tentador como objetivo de los cacos. ¿Encontraría un estante vacío o estaría lleno de libros?
Sí, al abrir la puerta estaban allí. Libros tan variados como los transeúntes que subían y bajaban esas escaleras. Ventanas que nos permiten asomarnos al mundo real e imaginario, aventuras y desventuras, aprendizajes y experiencias de vida.

He who reads does not steal and he who steals does not read.
Does this saying ring a bell? I don't remember where I have heard or read it, but today I bring you a palpable example of its great truth. I found it in Andorra la Vella, next to the main avenue. The one that is full of shops and where thousands of people stroll in search of bargains to satisfy their consumerist needs.
In one of the streets that crosses this shopper's paradise, a colourful corner caught my eye, and I went there to browse. I loved what I discovered! As an avid reader, I like any literary reference and in this case it was no less.
I haven't read all the titles listed here, but I have read some of them and many others are on the list of those I want to read. Every good reader has one that grows and grows and grows and grows. I'd need several lifetimes to read all the books I'd like to read, I've assumed that a long time ago, hehe.
Classic titles are mixed with contemporary and current ones, as well as the different languages of the tourists who pass by. The love of literature is universal. Some of these examples went beyond the paper and reached the cinema or television screens, thus enlarging the number of souls touched by their stories.
Beyond making a nice background for Instagram, the interesting thing is that this place is a book exchange point. I only became aware of it when I stopped to photograph it.
I was confident that the purpose of these shelves would be respected, as the Principality of Andorra is a safe territory. However, we know that the criminals are always on the prowl and an open-air shopping centre is a tempting target for thieves. Would you find an empty shelf or would it be full of books?
Yes, when I opened the door they were there. Books as varied as the passers-by going up and down those stairs. Windows that allow us to look out onto the real and imaginary world, adventures and misadventures, learning and life experiences.
