The first Hive Poker Freeroll has ended. There were 7 participants. The winner:
The freeroll held at Rebel Poker lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. There wasn't much action in the early blind levels, I found this part a bit drawn out with 3-4 players per table, but after the end of the late reg (30 minutes) it became much more interesting, especially when there was only 1 table left with 6 players.
Iascaire () and
didn't make it, so they were the first to be eliminated.
I managed to participate in the first real elimination. Littlebob3k () went pre-flop all-in with 1010 against my AA. He couldn't improve on the board.
The next to be eliminated was . He was also eliminated by 1010 against A3s.
There are 3 of us left, thebull (), Snookat (
) and PokerMaria (me).
could double up fast in the 3-handed game, which was basically the heads-up. Unfortunately,
couldn't stay. She was sitting out after she reached the final table. She finished in 3rd position.
The game was quite careful in heads-up, we even reached the first break.
At 2k/4k blinds, I went all-in from SB, which was called by . 22 vs. Q10o. He got the 10 on the flop, which lasted until the river.
The final result:
| Position | Hive username | Rebel username | Prize |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. | thebull | 8 HIVE | |
| 2. | PokerMaria | 5 HIVE | |
| 3. | Snookat | 3 HIVE | |

A little off topic:
I am still thinking about how the time lag caused by future power down could be solved in the best way.
At first, it seemed the most logical that after 2 weeks I would permanently borrow liquid HIVE to the account. However, yesterday I discovered
, which could be a solution in several ways. Post rewards are paid immediately in liquid HIVE. The cost is 1%. In addition, a default of 4% liquid HIVE is also set for the voter. This might even be an incentive for the voters in terms of the poker prize pool.
So my questions: What do you think? Have you ever used it, and if so, what were your experiences? Do you perhaps know of a similar solution that has escaped my attention so far?
Good luck at the tables!
