I haven't written anything about what I've been playing lately for over a month, so I decided to compile what and where I've been playing lately.
The termination of PartyPoker's service at my place of residence still hurts a lot, and to this day I have not made up my mind to choose a permanent room, simply because there is no suitable one.
Let's start with the big ones. I have occasionally played GG Poker before. (Prefer on the Natural8 skin as it has better options.) I've been playing PLO and PLO-5 cash games regularly for the past few weeks.
Only at 1/2 limit. Starting from a minimum buyin there as well.
I'm aware of the huge variance increase compared to Holdem, but still sometimes the 1-4 draw losses drive me crazy.
So why do I play? I like PLO, no support software, weak field, but the main reason is the GG promotion. GG Care & GG Cheers.
These lowest buy-in CG games are the easiest way to earn points for this daily $100k guaranteed tourney. Which is a flip tourney, so you don't even have to play it, it goes automatically.
By playing at higher stakes, you can get more points, but that's not an option for me, so I'd rather collect the average 1k points I get 5-20 times on the micro limit. By the end of the day, around 10k points usually come together anyway. After that, I need a lot of luck to win at least 1 hand at the 9-Max tables in the flip tourney, but more like 2 to be in the money.
The tourney options would also be the best here, it is likely that sooner or later I will regularly play micro tourneys here.
ACR Poker
This room just doesn't offer good micro tourneys. A few years ago, the best micro tourneys were played here. The micro section has now been completely demolished.
On Demand multi-table SNGs and 1 table SNGs could still be good, but generating significant rake on the Sit&Crush leaderboard would only be possible by playing around the clock at the micro level.
So I've been playing very little here lately, usually just micro tourneys, when not enough running in other rooms.
Other rooms
Besides, I still regularly play on CoinPoker, only $1-2 buyin tourneys. There aren't many micro buy-in tourneys here either (however, the selection here is also sparse at higher levels).
Lately, I've been playing on KryptoPoker and RebelPoker, speaking of crypto poker rooms. It's more fun than serious, since there are very small, almost SNG-like tourneys in both rooms every day.
Unfortunately, there is no good room. GG is the only acceptable one. There would also be 888 and PokerStars.
I hate PS, I don't like their rakeback, it's practically zero, I don't like their business policy. They give the rakeback to a billionaire, not so good, pompous soccer player (Neymar) instead of the players playing on the platform. They do not even want to acknowledge the existence and operation of bots on their site, when it is a proven fact. Years ago it was clear that this would not work, recently they are shrinking quite spectacularly, a few years at most and they will disappear.
888 also doesn't offer enough variety, and if there's any poker software I don't like, it's theirs.
In addition to these, there are a few more rooms where I could play, but uncle state has made the deposit/withdrawal so difficult that it doesn't make much sense. I should definitely search among the crypto rooms, but none of them offer an acceptable, enough micro tourneys.
So it remains that I play some tourneys in many places. Of course, because of this, I often miss the registrations.
