Hello everyone! We just started our classes yesterday, and I've been dealing with different problems lately. Our class started yesterday but was suspended due to Eid Al Adha. Looking back on my senior high years, I was frustrated about my admission, and I admit that it almost made me depressed. Now that I'm already a second-year student in an unexpected university and a very different course, I'm still problematic as fuck.
Before The Enrollment
A few months ago, one of Mom's acquaintances contacted her about how to get a scholarship from the Mayor. Before enrolling, I failed to get a Certification of Grades, where all my grades last semester were coded with the university's seal. It took me more than three times back and forth, which was draining physically and financially. I thought I could finally get the scholarship, but her friend told me I should be enrolled first. It's against my will to enroll on-site, but I don't have a choice since I need to lessen my expenses as a student studying in private.
During The Enrollment
As others might know, I was enrolled as a BSBA Major in Banking and Microfinance student last academic year. But since I'm already a content writer and affiliate marketer, who needs more marketing skills, I decided to shift. I went to the university before 8 AM and waited patiently until the registrar opened. I have plans to shift, so I asked for the Shifting Form and requested a Certification of Enrollment just in case.
After filling out the form, I immediately went into the room and went on my adviser. I was slightly uncomfortable when he asked me if I didn't shift to Bachelor of Science in Accountancy since I'm one of his intelligent students (not the best, but one of them). Anyway, I answered it honestly and admitted it was a bit awkward. If you asked me why I shifted, expanding my knowledge in administrative tasks, marketing management, and marketing strategies will help me if I shift. I hope I made a good decision. The enrollment process would be fast if I didn't shift, though.
The enrollment process is long, I swear. They said the process is only long because the campus only has one printer to print our ORF. Unfortunately, I got into the cut-off when I was already second in the line, but good thing it immediately resumed after their lunch break. I almost foreboded when I saw that I must pay ₱24,175 or $387.356 in today's conversion. But the most important thing is that I'm already enrolled.
After The Enrollment
After I enrolled, we immediately went to the Mayor's office to apply for the scholarship. The process was smooth, and the Mayor of our town was impressed by how my grades went well. Without hesitation, she made a letter with the guy I don't know (I think he's at a higher level and might be on the main campus), and one of her nephews assisted me to the campus. We went to AU together using his car, and someone from the faculty told me they had implemented a new policy. She said I needed to write a letter about why I needed a scholarship. I was like, "So what was it? Is this not considered a letter?" Of course, I didn't say that, but if I have that confidence. In conclusion, the fare, time, and effort I invested are pointless.
Good thing I brought pocket money in my bag, and I went to the Mcdonald's since I needed exact money for my fare going home. At least a cup of McFlurry helped me to lighten my atmosphere. I arrived home disappointed, and one of my mom's friends told me I should give the letter directly to that guy. The registrar was closed at that time since it was lunchtime, and I plan to process it next week since I haven't received my Certification of Enrollment yet. I will give it together with my Certification of Grades and will try my luck again. I want to push it since I will only pay 50% if granted!
