My family and I are on the Hive Students Hub, and it is my pleasure to share my thoughts on this topic. Leaders are neither borne nor created but are a continuation of roles taken by a whole body. I am here to share my experience when I vowed to get my school prefect back in Junior high and lost it.
Student leadership is very important to the growth and development of students during their school days. Thanks to the Hive Student Hub for coming up with this topic for hivers to delibrate on.
Leadership is about representing a body to help address and solve problems or challenges they face using different approaches or methods. We have different ideologies that have borne different leaders and their styles of leading. Anyway, this is not bad for leaders with different perspectives on addressing problems.
I have seen many cases where we choose leaders based on tribe and religion. It is one of the main challenges I have identified when students choose their front. But this is not the case if you choose based on sympathy, religion, or tribe. It should be on the basis of who can do the work and defend the voiceless in front of the voices. These are the main factors that determine how students choose their leaders.
I did not do badly at the election we had during the contest back in my junior high school days. I worked hard, but things did not work out for my journey as a school prefect. It is normal to fail, and this will help you learn from the mistakes you make. I did not regret going for that post at my school. I learn and build my confidence, aspiring to be the school prefect.
Thank you for reading this post. Anyway, I hope this post caught your attention.
