ME DESCENDING FROM THE LIBRARY
As I got down from the library, I came into contact with lots of my school mates heading towards the school park. I asked what was going on and I was told there is an interlevel soccer match competition match ongoing, then I remembered it was the SRC Week celebration. I quickly reached the hostel and got some food to eat and went straight to the park to witness this competition.

I got there a bit late though, because the matches played were two but by the time I got there the first one was over. It was first between the level 100 and 300, of which I missed. Sad right?? Don’t worry I got the score line from a colleague and will disclose them to you later. I got there in time though for the big one between level 200 and 400. To everyone’s surprise, the level 400s were defeated in broad daylight. They even try causing confusion but to no avail. Lol, Hehe. I laughed and laughed. It was embarrassing as well as funny.

GETTING READY FOR CAMPUS STRONGEST COMPETITION
Here comes the main spicy juicy part of the whole show. There was a competition for the men. When I talk of men, I mean real men. Lol. There was a competition between the men to determine the strongest in the school. I know your ears are itching to hear who the winner was. Well, you will but not now. Let us get to know how the whole show went down first. Bet me you will love it.
REGISTRATION OF CONTESTANTS ONGOING.
The contestants who were to participate gathered around to get their names registered. There, the place was set for action. These well-built men gathered around for the main show. Even before they kickstarted the show, the whole place was crowded. Everyone was in anticipation to witness who will be crowned as the strongest of all men.
BENCH PRESS
They kick start with the Bench Press. It was like a warm up. Everyone was just lifting it with ease. 10 Press each for all the 9 contestants and they all did it with ease. Then the weight increased. This time round some were finding it difficult to perform but still the majority managed to seal through. Those of you who don’t know what a bench press is, check the images below, that’s how it is done. You can try if you want to end up at the hospital. Hahahahaha!! Just kidding.
SHOULDER-LIFT WAS NEXT
Then the next in line was the shoulder lift. This is when the metal is being lifted high above the shoulders and raised continuously for a certain number of times. Initially, the target was 10 and then later it was limited to 5 by then most guys were already exhausted. Lol…
While this was going on, the ladies were also on the field displaying their talent. It was a match between the various halls on campus. They were also on the pitch but just a few people’s attention was there. Everyone was caught up in the strongest man competition. I think it was only the match officials that were there though. Just kidding, there was some spectators there. It was fun though but full of noise😂💔.
Now back to our strongest man competition. It was getting hotter and hotter. Some contestants were eliminated at a very early stage and others too after the shoulder lift. The number was now reduced to a sizable one. Contestants who brought their “A” Game were Felix, Emmanuel and one other guy. They battled it out to the very core but it was a tie between Emmanuel and Felix. These two came very prepared. They were very resilient and consistent throughout the competitions.
DEADLIFTING
They went through the squatting and deadlift successfully. I mean they were on top. They managed to perform every rep they were limited to. The squatting though was a problem for Emmanuel. I guess he might be battling with knee or lower back injuries. This might be the reason why he found it very difficult to perform the squatting.

The deadlift was not a problem for Him though as well as Felix. They both went through successfully and there was no winner. So to settle the score, they had to perform a bench press again and this time round, the one with the highest rep wins. Lo and behold, it was Felix, I was very proud of him because he is my course mate. He has made us very proud. We are very much blessed to have him in our class.
He won a cash prize and the second winner together with the third also won a cash prize.

The place was filled with lots of excitement. I didn’t keep long there afterwards though. I quickly rushed back to the hotel to get some things done and prepare for the day ahead. I had to share it with you as well. Thank you for your time and audience.
