I never thought I would come across a natural wonder that left me feeling surprised, overjoyed, and amazed. I enjoyed the peaceful and serene environment making it a perfect spot for a relaxing stroll.
The tree towered above me, with its long neck stretching towards the sky, and its wide body creating a natural canopy over the surrounding area that existed for many centuries ago according to old folks nearby was indeed impressive.
Perhaps I witnessed a super gigantic tree as I traveled along route 955 in Claveria, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. It was the Ostrich Tree. It truly resembled a display like a real flightless bird. And it is a natural wonder that showcases the beauty and diversity of Philippine flora.
From my hometown, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, it took me two hours to travel passing the Claveria road and I must say that the road going there was full of slopes and so foggy while driving.
But the whole experience was so worth it and I would not resist coming back to a natural view that soothes my heart. What makes the Ostrich Tree unique is its shape. From a distance, it looks like an ostrich stretching its long neck toward the sky.
