Thanks to modern technology, the tendency to read printed books has decreased a lot. But no matter how much technology modernizes people's reading habits, the feeling of getting a new book is different. Mohiuddin Ahmed has enriched that fun experience for Bangladeshi readers. He is not a famous writer; He is an editor and publisher.
Pre-publication lifetime
Mohiuddin Ahmed was born in 1944 at Parashuram in Feni. His father was a high-ranking official of the British Indian Postal Service. While a student at Notre Dame College, he was the managing editor of Blue & Gold, a college magazine. At the same time, the magazine had a great but friendly competition with the 'Scribe' magazine published by Holy Cross College.
From that time onwards his interest in editing and publishing grew. But at that time Dhaka University was only offering diploma degrees in journalism, so the founding lecturer of the concerned department of the university advised him to pursue higher studies elsewhere in this subject. After studying Mass Communication and Journalism from Dhaka University, he studied Journalism at Punjab University with a Pakistan Council Scholarship.
