The founders have spoken 👻
Last night on the RGC Event stage over on Discord, Cena and Colt took about an hour out of their night to talk with the Rare Ghost Club. This AMA (Ask Me Anything) went smoothly, the team's many years of professionalism really showed. You can tell that Cena and Colt have amazing synergy after working side by side for 13+ years. The team's vision for the project reaches far and wide, this isn't only about getting a cool PFP (Profile Pic) and moving along. There is so much more to RGC than just the 15,000 unique .jpg files that are dropping very soon.
One of the main points of last night's live chat was the importance of getting whitelisted for the pre-sale. This will enable those wishing to mint their very own Rare Ghost to ideally, avoid gas wars that will inevitably exist come public sale time. This won't eliminate gas fees altogether (thanks Ethereum), but it will reduce the cost of gas tremendously.

Getting whitelisted is invaluable, considering the Discord group is already approaching 10,000 total members. With there only being 15,000 Rare ghosts planned to exist, this means getting one for yourself may prove to be a difficult task. If this is going to be your first NFT, you need to know that it is not at all uncommon for people to want to mint more than one NFT for their own collection. Cena said there would be limits on how many Rare Ghosts one person can get, but not much can stop an advanced user from creating multiple wallets and gathering as many Rare Ghosts as their total ETH balance allows them to accumulate.
If you are a long-time supporter of Pink+Dolphin like me, then you are in this for more reasons than just making some money. Holding on to your Rare Ghost and taking advantage of the perks of being a RGC member, will likely be more beneficial than just dumping your Rare Ghost(s) on OpenSea and scurrying away with some profits. The whitelist gives each member the opportunity to mint at least one Rare Ghost. Remember that you only need one Rare Ghost to gain access to the Rare Ghost Club and all of the benefits that come along with that membership.
Speaking of these Rare Ghosts, Cena announced that https://www.rareghostclub.com/ has been updated with a rarity and properties list. The image below gives you a glimpse of the many different possibilities for each Rare Ghost mint. No one ghost will be the same, but some will be rarer than others. For instance, the Ultra Rare and Legendary Ghosts will have unique properties that no other ghost will possess. A teaser of one of the Ultra Rare Ghosts is supposed to be on the Discord group under #previews sometime later today.
During last night's AMA, there was a consistent 75-100 people listening at all times. Some lucky members who raised their hands got a chance to ask questions in front of the audience. There were a lot of OG Pink+Dolphin supporters in there and many people who were totally new to NFTs. The hype was evident, but so was the wisdom needed for this project to succeed. A lot of great questions were asked and I think that this provided some much-needed clarity for a lot of people. Cena had answers to everything and Colt did a great job of letting the man speak.
I actually got the opportunity to speak during the AMA last night. My question was a bit more technical than the others. I was curious why RGC decided to use Ethereum to run their smart contract, despite the issue of gas fees. Especially when there are other valid alternatives with much lower fees such as Solana and https://solanart.io/. I even brought up the option of Hive's very own https://nftshowroom.com/. Cena expressed his belief in the longevity of Ethereum, stating
"ETH isn't going anywhere and 2.0 should resolve issues with high gas fees."
SOL has had its issues but has proven that it can overcome obstacles as we see it remain in the Top 10 cryptos. HIVE remains a hidden gem that many will not fully understand for quite a while. Hive has resource credits earned from staking rather than transaction fees. Simple wallet addresses that are usernames rather than impossible to remember cryptic letters and numbers. 3-second transactions, a plethora of dApps plus so much more. ETH, on the other hand, is undeniably the most popular place for NFTs right now. https://opensea.io/ remains the go-to marketplace for digital collectibles. This does indeed seem like the best move for RGC at the moment, but I had fun picking the brains of these creative geniuses.
I heard Colt chime in the most during my opportunity to speak. I could tell he was eager to further his technical understanding of blockchain and I'm more than happy to help with that. I look forward to furthering communication with the team. Who knows, maybe we will end up working together more closely. Being a part of Pink+Dolphin was always a dream of mine when I was younger, but that was never possible since I live in West Virginia and have never been to California (yet). Now that I'm heavily into blockchain tech and Pink+Dolphin is now doing the same with RGC, it seems like the best time for me to possibly make some big moves with P+D & RGC.

A Latin phrase sui generis helps to explain the main reason that I have been a hardcore supporter of Pink+Dolphin since all the way back in 2008.
