Si Vis Pacem... Para Bellum? My Kingdom Needs More Strength!
In the past few weeks, I’ve continued to strengthen my Kingdom’s stats: despite its terrible name, the power of my armies and defenses has grown more and more, helping my small Kingdom to expand further.
My growth strategy was balanced, leading me to upgrade all statistics fairly evenly, in order to have good offensive and defensive capabilities.
Compared to some time ago, I've also made significant progress in terms of DENAR token production, mainly thanks to a more efficient tax collection system.
To gather these additional riches, it was also necessary to increase my Vault's capacity, which can now hold up to 8 DENAR at a time.
Thanks to these updates, I've managed to make my Kingdom safer and, at the same time, more dangerous to my neighbors, allowing me to carry out assaults and raids more easily.
And yet...
There's something that puzzles me: my ranking position is getting worse.
Currently, I'm in 131st place, far from the top 100 I managed to enter when my Kingdom was much less developed and powerful.
The most obvious explanation is that, for some reason, other players' Kingdoms are growing faster than mine.
The less obvious thing to understand is the why... and I have a theory about it.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
This time, no question marks or doubts, because I have a feeling that focusing on my Kingdom's offensive capabilities is, right now, the best choice: accumulating resources and defending them is no small feat since there will always be a stronger Kingdom able to attack and rob you of your belongings.
At the same time, however, this very statement applies to my Kingdom: the stronger I become, the easier and more profitable it is to raid rival Kingdoms.
So here’s the thing: perhaps, for my Kingdom’s future, the best choice will be to try to focus all my resources on the strength of my own Kingdom.
More attacks, more DENAR obtained, more upgrades I’ll be able to buy.
This is my theory, and I want to try to put it into practice: will it work? Or will my approach turn out to be wrong?
In the next update, I’ll take stock of the situation and understand whether focusing on strength was the right choice... or if I’ll need to squeeze my poor peasants even more to collect more taxes.
In any case, I fear I won’t be a beloved ruler 😂

Si Vis Pacem... Para Bellum? Il Mio Regno Ha Bisogno di più Forza!
Nelle ultime settimane ho continuato a potenziare le statistiche del mio Regno: nonostante un nome terribile, la forza delle mie armate e difese è cresciuta sempre più, aiutando il mio piccolo Regno ad espandersi sempre più.
La mia strategia di crescita è stata bilanciata, portandomi a potenziare un po' tutte le statistiche in maniera abbastanza uniforme, in modo da avere buone capacità sia offensive che difensive.
Rispetto a qualche tempo fa ho fatto notevoli progressi anche dal punto di vista della produzione dei token DENAR, soprattutto grazie ad un sistema di raccolta delle tasse più efficiente.
Per raccogliere queste ricchezze ulteriori si è reso necessario anche incrementare la capacità del mio Vault, che adesso può contenere fino ad 8 DENAR per volta.
Grazie a questi updates sono riuscito a rendere il mio Regno più sicuro e, al contempo, anche più pericoloso per i miei vicini, cosa che mi consente di portare a segno più facilmente saccheggi e raid.
Eppure...
C'è un qualcosa che però mi lascia perplesso: la mia posizione in classifica sta peggiorando.
Attualmente mi trovo infatti in 131esima posizione, ben lontano dalla top100 in cui ero riuscito ad entrare quando il mio Regno era molto meno sviluppato e potente.
La spiegazione più ovvia è che, per qualche ragione, i Regni degli altri giocatori stanno crescendo più velocemente del mio.
La cosa meno ovvia da capire è la ragione... e sul punto ho una teoria.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Stavolta senza punti interrogativi o dubbi, perchè ho l'impressione che puntare sulle capacità offensive del proprio Regno sia, in questo momento, la scelta da preferirsi: accumulare risorse e difenderle non è infatti un'impresa da poco, perchè ci sarà sempre qualche Regno più forte in grado di attaccarti e derubarti dei tuoi averi.
Al contempo, però, questa stessa affermazione vale per il mio Regno: più divento forte e più diventa facile, e remuneratizio, saccheggiare i Regni rivali.
Ecco quindi che, forse, per il futuro del mio Regno la scelta migliore sarà provare a concentrare tutte le mie risorse sulla forza del mio Regno stesso.
Più attacco, più DENAR ottenuti, più updrades che potrò così comprare.
Questa è la mia teoria e voglio provare ad attuarla: funzionerà? Oppure il mio approccio si rivelerà sbagliato?
Nel prossimo aggiornamento tirerò le somme e capirò se puntare sulla forza sarà stata la scelta giusta... o se invece dovrò spremere di più i miei poveri sudditi per prelevare più tasse.
In ogni caso, temo che non sarò un sovrano amato 😂
