La foto che vedete e' stato scattsta da un mio amico, siamo davanti al commissariato di polizia di Madonna di Campagna a Torino.
Fare il passaporto.
Open Day di sabato mattina, e' andato alle 3 e mezza, sottozero, ed era il numero 8, circa 400 persone in coda, passavano soltanto i primi 80.
E' passato alle 9 del mattino.
Una vergogna assoluta.
La Stampa ha pubblicato un lungo articolo sulla questione, pare che dopo la pandemia la gente abbia giustamente una voglia pazza di viaggiare, quindi tutti vogliono il passaporto, molta gente a cui era scaduto durante il lockdown non lo aveva rifatto e si sta preoccupando ora del problema.
Mettiamoci anche una organizzazione da terzo mondo, la scarsita' di organico da parte delle forze dell'ordine ed il gioco e' fatto.
Negli open day a Torino si sono presentate 6000 persone per rifare il documento.
Se tenti di prendere un appuntamento on line il sistema ti rimbalza perché in tutta la provincia di Torino puoi prendere un appuntamento solo ad... Ivrea...fra qualche mese.
A me scade nel marzo del 2024 ma durante gli ultimi 6 mesi serve unicamente come documento di identita' personale, nessuna compagnia aerea ti imbarca piu'.
Quindi dopo la vacanza di marzo/aprile mi preoccupero' di rifarlo sperando di trovare un modo per non dover passare sotto queste Forche Caudine.

Today's piece is not about Cuba but I think for travelers like us it is equally important.
The video you see was shot by a friend of mine, we are in front of the Madonna di Campagna police station in Turin.
Make a passport.
Open Day on Saturday morning, went at half past 3, subzero, and it was number 8, about 400 people in line, only the first 80 passed.
It passed at 9 in the morning.
An absolute disgrace.
La Stampa has published a long article on the issue, it seems that after the pandemic people rightly have a mad desire to travel, therefore everyone wants a passport, many people who had expired during the lockdown had not reissued it and are now worrying about the problem.
Let's also add a third world organization, the shortage of personnel on the part of the police and the game is done.
During the open days in Turin, 6,000 people showed up to redo the document.
If you try to make an appointment online, the system bounces back because in the whole province of Turin you can only make an appointment in... Ivrea... in a few months.
For me it expires in March 2024 but during the last 6 months it serves only as a personal identity document, no airlines take you on anymore.
So after the March/April vacation I'll worry about doing it again hoping to find a way not to have to pass under these Caudine Forks.
