L'altro giorno ho apposto la mia firma al modulo per la richiesta del referendum on line sulla legalizzazione dell'eutanasia promosso da Marco Cappato e Filomena Gallo a nome del comitato promotore dell'associazione Luca Coscioni.
Sono gia' state raggiunte le 500 mila firme gia' sufficienti per chiedere una consultazione referendaria, lo scopo e' di arrivare a 750 mila entro il 30 settembre.
Se fossimo un paese normale non ci sarebbe disogno di tutto questo, basterebbe una sacrosanta legge in cui si afferma che se non ci sono piu' le condizioni per proseguire una vita con dignita', una vita che valga la pena di essere vissuta a causa di una malattia degenerativa allora LEGALMENTE la persona puo' scegliere di terminare quella vita.
Oggi, come e' stato il caso per DJ Fabo (foto) ed altri, occorre andare all'estero dove il suicidio assistito e' consentito con costi sopportabili da poche famiglie soltanto perche' siamo un paese dove ancora il Vaticano impone legge, indirizzando il voto di milioni di persone verso le formazioni politiche piu' conservatrici.
Non a caso siamo stati l'ultimo paese dell'Europa occidentale a legalizzare divorzio ed aborto.
Sento in questi giorni blaterare ad minchiam sulla presunta liberta' di chi opta per il non vaccinarsi, credo sia fondamentale la liberta' di scegliere come andarsene da questo mondo quando le condizioni di vita diventano tali che la vita stessa non vale piu' la pena di essere vissuta.
Trattasi di scelte molto intime, assolutamente personali, lo stato deve legiferare, vigilare ma in concreto togliersi dai piedi lasciando che la scienza, la vita o il finale della stessa facciano il loro corso.
Nei fatti l'eutanasia esiste gia', alcuni medici la praticano clandestinamente e a loro rischio nei nostri ospedali spinti da un sentimento umanitario nei confronti di chi patisce sofferenze indicibili.
Quando stai bene puoi permetterti di fare il filosofo ma quando in certe situazioni ti ci ritrovi allora cambia tutto.
