In fact PAX was forced to remove BUSD from its platform as pa SEC considered the stablecoin itself as a security, raising doubts from the crypto community: can a stablecoin be considered a security? Who expects to profit by investing in a currency pegged to the dollar?

The CEO of Binance, in the face of the attitude of the SEC, seems to be considering the possibility of stablecoins no longer linked exclusively to the dollar but to other currencies such as the euro or yen for example. In fact, the problem could be increasingly difficult to solve if it is not possible to convince the American institute on the stablecoin-security issue as two essentially different things.

But, should the knot be difficult to untie, in the future it is plausible that Binance itself will work towards the creation of a stablecoin not pegged to the dollar, although it remains the most important FIAT currency in the market.

The speech comes from an interview with CZ who was asked if Bitcoin could still be gold rather than the US dollar. Question to which the CEO of Binance replied that most people's costs are still in fiat currencies". For this reason, most people calculate the returns of their investments in dollars, which is why the stablecoins backed from the US dollar are "still important".

It will therefore be interesting to know the evolution of the moves by the SEC and Binance, this episode could create a precedent and actually push CZ to create a new stablecoin BEUR or BYEN to replace the current BUSD. Meanwhile, Binance is suspending the creation of a new BUSD until the investigations go ahead and are completed. The BUSD market cap has reached its highest value of $23 billion but this news is likely to convince many holders of the stablecoin to withdraw their positions.

Come è ben noto a tutti, la SEC oramai da tempo ha avviato una battaglia, oltre che alle crypto valute definite come security, anche nei confronti delle stablecoin legate al dollaro, come nella più recente vicenda di PAX e BUSD. Infatti PAX è stata obbligata a rimuovere BUSD dalla sua piattaforma poiché pa SEC ha considerato la stessa stablecoin come una security, facendo sorgere perplessità da parte della comunità crypto: può una stablecoin essere considerata una security? Chi si aspetta di trarre profitto investendo in una moneta ancorata al dollaro?

Il CEO di Binance, a fronte dell'atteggiamento della SEC pare stia considerando la possibilità di stablecoin non più legate esclusivamente al dollaro ma ad altre valute come euro o yen ad esempio. Il problema infatti potrebbe essere sempre più difficile da sciogliere qualora non si riesca a convincere l'istituto americano sulla questione stablecoin-security come due cose essenzialmente diverse.

Ma, qualora il nodo dovesse essere difficile da sciogliere, in futuro è plausibile che la stessa Binance si adoperi alla creazione di una stablecoin non ancorato al dollaro, sebbene rimanga la valuta FIAT più importante nel mercato.

Il discorso nasce dall'intervista effettuata a CZ a cui è stato chiesto se Bitcoin potesse essere ancora all'oro piuttosto che al dollaro americano. Domanda a cui il CEO di Binance ha risposto che i costi della maggior parte delle persone sono ancora in valute fiat". Per questo motivo, la maggior parte delle persone calcola i rendimenti dei propri investimenti in dollari, ed è per questo che le stablecoin sostenute dal dollaro americano sono "ancora importanti".

Sarà interessante quindi conoscere l'evoluzione delle mosse della SEC e di Binance, questo episodio potrebbe creare un precedente e spingere CZ effettivamente a creare una nuova stablecoin BEUR o BYEN che sostituisca l'attuale BUSD. Intanto Binance sospende la creazione di nuovo BUSD fintanto che le indagini non andranno avanti e saranno giunti a termine. Il market cap BUSD ha raggiunto il valore più alto di 23 miliardi di dollari ma è probabile che questa notizia possa convincere molto detentori della stablecoin a ritirare le proprie posizioni.
