After some time, exactly after the birth of my son who is now almost 4 years old, I bought a new book, obviously with the intention of starting reading again, a passion that for many years was a hobby for me, to which I had to give up first due to lack of time and then due to laziness, as if I were no longer trained.

I have always thought of returning to reading sooner or later, although compared to a few years ago I have much more serious commitments: family and work. In fact, when I was a teenager, I read an average of 4-5 books a month, I was truly a sponge. My favorite genre has always been fantasy but I also read a lot of Dan Brown, Clive Clusser, James Rollin and many other adventure/thriller authors.

A few days ago, I read about a new edition of a saga that I have always wanted to read, and that Netflix has also produced a successful TV series: The Witcher. The author is Sapkowki, a master of the genre, a saga that reminds me a lot of an old board game, Dungeons n' Dragons, or books like The Lord Of The Rings. I really like stories of orcs, witches and warrior men and luckily there are many good authors who write exceptional stories.

At the time I write, it is evening, my son has recently fallen asleep, and I am in the comfortable armchair, LED light behind me illuminating the book I hold in my hands, a warm blanket on my legs. I have everything I need for a wonderful evening of reading!

Dopo un po' di tempo, esattamente dalla nascita di mio figlio che ha ormai quasi 4 anni, ho comprato un nuovo libro, con l'intento ovviamente di riprendere la lettura, una passione che per molti anni è stato un hobby per me, a cui ho dovuto rinunciare prima per mancanza di tempo e poi per pigrizia, quasi non fossi più allenato.

Ho sempre pensato di tornare prima a poi alla lettura, sebbene rispetto a qualche anno fa ho impegni molto più seri: famiglia e lavoro. Quando ero adolescente, infatti, leggevo mediamente 4-5 libri al mese, ero davvero una spugna. Il mio genere preferito è sempre stato il fantasy ma ho letto molto anche Dan Brown, Clive Clusser, James Rollin e tanti alti autori d'avventura/thriller.

Qualche giorno fa, ho letto di una nuova edizione di una saga che ho sempre voluto leggere, e che Netflix ha anche prodotto una serie TV di successo: The Witcher. L'autore è Sapkowki, un maestro del genere, una saga che mi ricorda tanto un vecchio gioco da tavola, Dungeons n' Dragons, o libri come The Lord Of The Rings. Mi piacciono molto le storie di orchi, streghe e uomini guerrieri e per fortuna ci sono tanto bravi autori che scrivono storie eccezionali.

Al mome mio in cui scrivo è sera, mio figlio si è addormentato da poco, ed io sono sulla comoda poltrona, luce a led alle mie spalle che illumina il libro che stringo tra le mani, una calda coperta sulle gambe. Ho tutto ciò che mi occorre per una splendia serata di lettura!
