Creating something new on Hive in 2025? (participation in #9 Decent...

Good morning everyone!

The title of the new contest Olio di Balena #9 is “My goals on Hive for 2025: what I want to create or achieve”. It is a decentralized contest, where the community members themselves vote for the winning posts and you can find all the details for participation in this link.

The word that struck me the most about this week's theme was “create”. I decided to focus on this term to avoid being repetitive, since I have already talked about the goals to achieve in 2025 in my previous post.

Someone might think: “is it really possible to create something new on Hive?”. In fact, this social network has existed for several years and has a solid community. However, in my opinion, the key to innovation is precisely creating something new when no one expects it.

It is not true that "everything has already been done". The key is to find a unique point of view, perhaps combining technology, a real need and a bit of creativity. Even if it seems like the market is already saturated, there are always new opportunities to innovate.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to do it alone, because I don't have the IT skills, however, as a community I think it will be possible to achieve something new in 2025 and today I’d like to talk about it.

Il titolo del nuovo contest di Olio di Balena #9 è “I miei obiettivi su Hive per il 2025: cosa voglio creare o raggiungere”. Si tratta di un contest decentralizzato, dove sono gli stessi membri della community a votare i post che vinceranno e potete trovare tutti i dettagli per la partecipazione in questo link.

La parola che mi ha colpito di più di questo tema della settimana è stata “creare”. Ho deciso di concentrarmi su questo termine per evitare di essere ripetitiva, dato che ho già parlato degli obiettivi da raggiungere nel 2025 nel mio precedente post.

Qualcuno potrebbe pensare: “è veramente possibile creare qualcosa di nuovo su Hive?”. Infatti, questo social network esiste da diversi anni e ha una community solida. Tuttavia, secondo me, la chiave dell’innovazione è proprio creare qualcosa di nuovo quando nessuno se l’aspetta.

Non è vero che "è già stato fatto tutto". La chiave è trovare un punto di vista unico, magari combinando tecnologia, un bisogno reale e un po' di creatività. Anche se sembra che il mercato sia già saturo, ci sono sempre nuove opportunità per innovare.
Purtroppo, non sarò in grado di farlo da sola, perché non ho le competenze informatiche, tuttavia, come community penso che sarà possibile realizzare qualcosa di nuovo nel 2025 e oggi voglio parlarne.

First of all, we need to start from the fact that the world is constantly evolving, influenced by emerging technologies, social changes and the specific needs of individual communities. Basically, it's like riding a roller coaster.

There are some trends in vogue such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, sustainability and renewable energy. Even work itself is changing, moving towards hybrid remote and in-office work that gives greater physical and mental well-being, … I believe that Hive will have a fundamental impact in all these situations!
In fact, it’s now clear to everyone that participating here on Hive can lead to a source of income, which is usually proportional to the investment that is made in terms of time and/or money. For someone it's already a full-time job: I am thinking of the developers of the various platforms such as Peakd, Ecency, … but also of some successful bloggers and investors.

It is a concrete project that changes people's lives, it is free and democratic!

Innanzitutto, dobbiamo partire dal fatto che il mondo è in continua evoluzione, influenzato dalle tecnologie emergenti, dai cambiamenti sociali e dai bisogni specifici delle singole comunità. In pratica, è come salire sulle montagne russe.

Ci sono alcune tendenze in voga come l’intelligenza artificiale, la realtà virtuale, la sostenibilità e le energie rinnovabili. Anche il lavoro stesso sta cambiando, andando verso un lavoro ibrido in remoto e in ufficio che dia maggiore benessere fisico e mentale, … Credo che Hive avrà un impatto fondamentale in tutte queste situazioni!
Infatti, è ormai chiaro a tutti che partecipare qui su Hive possa portare a una fonte di reddito, che di solito è proporzionale all’investimento che viene fatto in termini di tempo e/o di denaro. Per alcuni è già un lavoro a tempo pieno: penso agli sviluppatori delle diverse piattaforme come Peakd, Ecency, … ma anche ad alcuni bloggers di successo e agli investitori.

È un progetto concreto che cambia la vita delle persone, è libero e democratico!

Let's get to the concrete questions. How to create something new on Hive in 2025?

The great wealth of the web is being able to connect people who live at opposite ends of the globe, but who share interests; therefore, I think it could be useful to think about these individual niches.
I would like new communities to be created on Hive in 2025 for specific activities, such as biology, chemistry or computer science enthusiasts, enthusiasts of curious and unusual hobbies, …;
Usually, we Hivers interact with each other through posting writing and videos, reblogging and commenting. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have collaborative experiences with virtual reality? For example, as was done with HiveFest a few years ago, if I remember correctly, where each user had their own character and interacted with others.
The new frontier could be to create virtual spaces, based on blockchain, where more experienced users can hold educational or artistic courses, or simply chat. It could be very useful for new users who have few interactions and do not know how to do some basic activities.
Do any of you have any idea how to create a project like this here on Web3?;

Andiamo sulle questioni concrete. Come creare qualcosa di nuovo su Hive nel 2025?

La grande ricchezza del web è riuscire a mettere in contatto persone che vivono a poli opposti del globo, ma che condividono degli interessi; quindi, penso che potrebbe essere utile pensare a queste singole nicchie.
Mi piacerebbe che nel 2025 si creassero nuove community su Hive per attività specifiche, come per esempio appassionati di biologia, chimica o informatica, appassionati di hobby curiosi e insoliti, …;
Di solito noi Hivers interagiamo tra noi attraverso posting di scrittura e video, reblogging e commenting. Non sarebbe magnifico fare delle esperienze collaborative con la realtà virtuale? Ad esempio, come era stato fatto con HiveFest qualche anno fa, se non ricordo male, dove ogni utente aveva il proprio personaggino e si interagiva con gli altri.
La nuova frontiera potrebbe essere creare degli spazi virtuali, basati su blockchain, dove gli utenti più esperti possano tenere corsi educativi, artistici, o semplicemente chiacchierare. Potrebbe essere utilissimo per i nuovi utenti che fanno poche interazioni e non sanno come fare alcune attività di base.
Qualcuno di voi avrebbe idea di come realizzare un progetto del genere qui su Web3?;

So far I have talked about activities that require the commitment of many people, but there are also things that you can do alone.
For example, I mainly do blogging on Hive. To create something new in my little universe, I’m thinking of introducing a column where I discuss a new topic each week.
Furthermore, I’m discovering new communities, where I can hunt for good posts to vote for because I work as a curator on the Discovery-it community.
I hope that both of these activities will help me in 2025 to expand my circle of contacts and friends;
The last point concerns onboarding. I realize that these activities, and many others, will only be possible with greater engagement. In fact, we are beautiful, very good but we are too few! In my small way, I’m trying to bring more and more people closer to Hive and for now it is going quite well. I started with my boyfriend.
It would be nice to create more live events, participate in technology fairs where we can make our project known and invite new people to be part of the community. In Italy, for example, from this point of view we are really stuck, as far as I know.
Since we are in the main Italian community, what do you think? In your opinion, can we organize something in 2025?

Finora ho parlato di attività che richiedono impegno di tante persone, ma ci sono anche cose che puoi fare tu da solo.
Ad esempio, io su Hive svolgo prevalentemente attività di blogging. Per creare qualcosa di nuovo nel mio piccolo universo, sto pensando di introdurre una rubrica dove trattare un nuovo argomento a settimana.
Inoltre, sto scoprendo nuove community, dove andare a caccia di buoni post da votare perché svolgo attività di curatrice sulla community Discovery-it.
Spero che entrambe queste attività mi aiuteranno nel 2025 ad allargare la mia cerchia di contatti e amicizie;
L’ultimo punto riguarda l’onboarding. Mi rendo conto che queste attività, e molte altre, saranno possibili solo con maggiore engagement. Infatti, siamo bellissimi, bravissimi ma siamo troppo pochi! Nel mio piccolo, sto cercando di avvicinare sempre più persone ad Hive e per ora sta andando abbastanza bene. Ho cominciato con il mio fidanzato.
Sarebbe bello creare più eventi dal vivo, partecipare a fiere di tecnologia dove far conoscere il nostro progetto e invitare nuove persone a far parte della community. In Italia, ad esempio, da questo punto di vista siamo davvero fermi, per quanto ne so.
Visto che siamo nella principale community italiana, voi che ne pensate? Secondo voi potrà organizzare qualcosa nel 2025?
