A musical wonder over the sea (English version)
It seems that the sea and looking at the horizon is something always inspiring and evocative, it relaxes us and makes us feel good. It is especially in summer when we realize more or have more opportunity to get closer to the coast and breathe that sea breeze.
In addition, during the summer period, different activities and initiatives are usually promoted, both recreational sports and cultural. Many times we see people playing beach volleyball, doing yoga or even enjoying a movie in an open cinema on those hot summer nights. Without forgetting the parties, bonfires and also picnics that many usually organize with family and friends.
But going back to the more cultural section, not only movies but many concerts usually take place at this time, when it is hotter and less rainy. The movement of the waves of the sea may also invite us to dance and sing under the blue sky at sunset.
And on one of those summer sunsets I discovered a musical wonder over the sea, a concert not in the sand, on the shore, but in the sea itself. On a platform like a boat among the nautical holiday scene par excellence, in a place that I consider privileged without having been there (still). This is Procida, an island very close to Naples in Italy.
What was that concert? The concert of an avant-garde Neapolitan artist I would say, LIBERATO. His original and eclectic music entertained all the attendees who enjoyed his songs of elegant modernity from the shore, while the artist with his face always hidden played the piano while he was accompanied by a group of violinists and cellists who made the live unbeatable and who gave an even more beautiful and impressive touch to those poetic lyrics that the public hummed looking at the horizon, and a sunset interspersed with bright colored lights that attracted the gaze. Magical.
MIEZ'O MARE / LIBERATO LIVE A PROCIDA
An initiative as part of this year's events for this magnificent place Capital of European Culture 2022, which many of us have been able to enjoy and marvel at from home, since it was broadcast in streaming and is also on YouTube on its channel (Here you are the link).
If you watch the video, the first few minutes you will immerse yourself in that wonderful Mediterranean Sea, simply, the sea itself becomes the most excellent opening act and prepares us for the long-awaited show, which the sunset itself makes more beautiful. What a cool environment, moment and soundtrack!
Many will think that it should have been something more authentic or traditional, but it was not something topical like everything that is heard now, I think that Liberato has his own style and of course his language, since he uses the Neapolitan dialect, combined in some verses with Italian, English and Spanish. A harmonious amalgamation of languages...
And despite the fact that, for example, I don't understand Neapolitan, it doesn't matter, little by little, something begins to sound familiar, perhaps it's because of something else, or because those rare songs begin to hypnotize you. Some time ago, a few years ago, I discovered the musician and singer, by chance, thanks to this powerful global tool, the Internet... (he also has fans in Spain, not just me). And it has led me to look for translations and go humming Neapolitan words, loving that land and that sea more. And that music.
I feel liberated, I let myself be carried away in a Parthenopean dream… by that musical wonder over the sea.

Una meraviglia musicale sul mare (versione italiana)
Sembra che il mare e guardare l'orizzonte siano qualcosa di sempre stimolante ed evocativo, ci rilassa e ci fa stare bene. È soprattutto in estate che ci rendiamo conto di più o abbiamo più possibilità di avvicinarci alla costa e respirare quella brezza marina.
Inoltre, durante il periodo estivo, vengono solitamente promosse diverse attività ed iniziative, sia ricreative sportive che culturali. Molte volte vediamo persone giocare a beach volley, fare yoga o persino godersi un film in un cinema all'aperto in quelle calde notti estive. Senza dimenticare le feste, i falò e anche i picnic che molti solitamente organizzano tra famiglia e amici.
Ma tornando alla sezione più culturale, non solo i film ma molti concerti di solito si svolgono in questo periodo, quando è più caldo e meno piovoso. Il movimento delle onde del mare può anche invitarci a ballare e cantare sotto l'azzurro del cielo al tramonto.
E in uno di quei tramonti estivi ho scoperto una meraviglia musicale sul mare, un concerto non sulla sabbia, sulla riva, ma sul mare stesso. Su una piattaforma come una barca nel panorama delle vacanze nautiche per eccellenza, in un luogo che ritengo privilegiato senza esserci mai stata (ancora). Questa è Procida, un'isola molto vicina a Napoli in Italia.
Qual'è stato il concerto? Il concerto di un artista napoletano d'avanguardia direi, LIBERATO. La sua musica originale ed eclettica ha intrattenuto tutti i partecipanti che hanno apprezzato dalla riva i suoi brani di elegante modernità, mentre l'artista con la faccia sempre nascosta suonava il pianoforte mentre era accompagnato da un gruppo di violinisti e violoncellisti che hanno reso il live imbattibile e hanno regalato un tocco ancora più bello e suggestivo a quei testi poetici che il pubblico canticchiava guardando l'orizzonte, e un tramonto inframmezzato da luci colorate che attiravano lo sguardo. Magico.

Un'iniziativa nell'ambito degli eventi di quest'anno per questo magnifico luogo Capitale Europea della Cultura 2022, che molti di noi abbiamo potuto godere e ammirare da casa, da quando è stato trasmesso in streaming ed è anche su YouTube sul suo canale (vi lascio il link qui).
Se guardate il video, i primi minuti vi immergerete in quel meraviglioso Mar Mediterraneo, semplicemente, il mare stesso diventa il più eccellente atto di apertura e ci prepara allo spettacolo tanto atteso, che il tramonto stesso rende più bello. Che ambientazione, momento e colonna sonora fantastici!
Molti penseranno che avrebbe dovuto essere qualcosa di più autentico o tradizionale, ma non era qualcosa di attuale come tutto ciò che si ascolta ora, penso che Liberato abbia un suo stile e ovviamente una sua lingua, visto che usa il dialetto napoletano, unito in alcuni versi con italiano, inglese e spagnolo. Un'armoniosa fusione di lingue...
E nonostante, per esempio, non capisco il napoletano, invece pian piano, qualcosa comincia a suonarci familiare, forse è per qualcos'altro, oppure perché quelle canzoni strane iniziano ad ipnotizzarti. Qualche tempo fa, qualche anno fa, ho scoperto il musicista e cantante, per caso, grazie a questo potente strumento globale, Internet... (lui ha fan anche in Spagna, non solo io). E mi ha portato a cercare traduzioni e andare a canticchiare parole napoletane, amando quella terra e quel mare di più. E quella musica. M'ê 'ppicciato 'o core, piccerè...
Mi sento liberata, mi lascio trasportare in un sogno partenopeo… da quella meraviglia musicale sul mare.
