These are difficult days for the world of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is losing a lot from its maximum value reached last November and is dragging the entire universe of cryptocurrencies with it, also weighed down by other problems that you know well and of which it is useless to talk further, such as the collapse of Luna and her algorithmic stable coin, UST.
But I am convinced that good projects will be able to bounce back. How to distinguish good projects from others? I use a criterion: to be good a project must be able to bring at least one very specific utility. He must know how to bring it, not just promise to do so in the future. For this reason I believe that Hive is a more than valid project and as such it will only be able to recover the losses of these days and go further.
In fact, when I talk about utility I mean something different from betting your money waiting for it to yield profits, whether they derive from the growth of the value of the coin or from the interests of the stakes. That is called speculation, not utility. I have nothing against speculation, but it is a different thing. Ponzi schemes can also be used to speculate, but it is very difficult to define them as useful for anything.
Hive has a lot to offer from the point of view of utility: it is already offering it and will offer much more in the future. And in my opinion, this is the starting point when evaluating the future of a cryptocurrency.
The possibility of expressing one's thoughts in an incensurable and anonymous way is a value that is already very appreciable today but I believe it will be even more so in the future. The ability to use second-level apps that bring additional usefulness is also a factor of solidity today and concrete growth tomorrow.
How not to mention the possibility of producing wealth without having to invest by writing articles that are appreciated.
But I see a huge untapped potential in the ability to make transactions at no cost and in 3 seconds. A change game that is not yet understood by potential beneficiaries. I am Italian but I live in Albania, a poor country, where over 66% of the working population earns less than $ 300 a month and I see daily how much good Hive could do to the people here, to improve their living conditions, even the daily. The time is not ripe for this, but it will be.
But is there any point in continuing to hope for the future without taking action in some way to make that future closer without being reduced to waiting for something to make it possible sooner or later? I do not believe.
For this reason I intend to invest more in Hive in the future. I am not a rich person and when I talk about investing I don't mean a lot of money to use to buy coins. It means that I will try to be more active on the platform where for almost two years I have been present only sporadically to read and keep in touch with friends from the Italian community that I had the pleasure of meeting here.
I see a lot more Hive in my future work life, even in these dark days. I aim to make myself financially independent thanks to Hive. How?
In the coming days I will open new thematic accounts in which I will publish content that I hope will be appreciated using the editorial resources of the online newspaper I have in the company and which is currently managed by my wife, Doriana. I deal with marketing and from the beginning I thought that the best method of using this tool is to create thematic accounts, so that they can be followed by those who appreciate the topic of each channel without disturbing others with useless posts: it is not said that those who love sports should appreciate gardening articles. So far I have never implemented this project because I did not have the energy and the time. Today the editorial staff of the newspaper has strengthened a bit and I can invest more effort, I hope with some regularity.

If things go well I have other projects to put into practice, not least that of creating the entire online platform based on the Hive blockchain, abandoning traditional hosting services. I don't know yet if it will be worth doing, there are pros and cons to evaluate, but it is a hypothesis that fascinates me.

Questi sono giorni difficili per il mondo delle crittovalute. Bitcoin sta perdendo moltissimo dal suo valore massimo raggiunto a novembre scorso e sta trascinandosi dietro tutto l’universo delle crittovalue, appesantito anche da altri problemi che conoscete bene e di cui è inutile parlare ulteriormente, come il crollo di Luna e della sua stable coin algoritmica, UST.
Ma sono convinto che i buoni progetti sapranno riprendersi. Come distinguere i progetti buoni dagli altri? Io uso un criterio: un progetto per esser buono deve saper apportare almeno un’utilità ben specifica. Deve saper apportarla, non solo promettere di farlo in futuro. Per questo motivo ritengo che Hive sia un progetto più che valido e come tale non potrà che recuperare le perdite di questi giorni e salire oltre.
Infatti quando parlo di utilità intendo qualcosa di diverso dal puntare i propri soldi in attesa che fruttino guadagni, siano essi derivanti dalla crescita del valore della coin o dagli interessi degli stake. Quella si chiama speculazione, non utilità. Non ho nulla contro la speculazione, ma è una cosa diversa. Anche gli schemi Ponzi sono utilizzabili per speculare, ma è ben difficile definirli utili a qualcosa.
Hive ha moltissimo da offrire dal punto di vista dell’utilità: lo sta già offrendo e molto più ne offrirà in futuro. E secondo me da questo occorre partire quando si valuta il futuro di una crittovaluta.
La possibilità di esprimersi in maniera incensurabile e anonima è un valore che già oggi è molto apprezzabile ma ancor più credo lo sarà in futuro. La possibilità di usare app di secondo livello che apportano utilità ulteriori è anch’esso un fattore di solidità oggi e di crescita concreta domani.
Come non accennare alla possibilità di produrre ricchezza senza dover investire scrivendo articoli che sono apprezzati.
Ma un’enorme potenzialità ancora non sfruttata la vedo nella possibilità di fare transazioni a costo zero ed in 3 secondi. Un change game che ancora non viene compreso dai potenziali beneficiari. Sono italiano ma vivo in Albania, un paese povero, dove oltre il 66% della popolazione che lavora guadagna meno di 300 dollari al mese e vedo quotidianamente quanto bene potrebbe fare Hive alle persone qui, per migliorare la propria condizione di vita, anche quella quotidiana. I tempi non sono maturi per questo, ma lo saranno.
Serve a qualcosa però continuare a sperare nel futuro senza attivarsi in qualche modo per rendere quel futuro più vicino senza ridursi ad un’attesa che qualcosa lo renda prima o poi possibile? Non credo.
Per questo motivo ho intenzione di investire maggiormente su Hive in futuro. Non sono una persona ricca e quando parlo di investire non intendo denaro da usare per comprare coin. Significa che cercherò di esser più attivo sulla piattaforma dove da quasi due anni sono presente solo sporadicamente per leggere e tenere i contatti con gli amici della comunità italiana che ho avuto il piacere di conoscere qui.
Vedo molto più Hive nella mia futura vita lavorativa, anche in questi giorni bui. Punto a rendermi economicamente indipendente proprio a grazie ad Hive. Come?
Nei prossimi giorni aprirò nuovi account tematici in cui pubblicherò contenuti che spero verranno apprezzati utilizzando le risorse redazionali del giornale online che ho in azienda e che attualmente è gestito da mia moglie, Doriana. Mi occupo di marketing e fin dall’inizio ho pensato che il metodo migliore di utilizzare questo strumento sia quello di creare account tematici, così che possano esser seguiti da chi apprezza l’argomento di ogni canale senza disturbare gli altri con post inutili: non è detto che chi ama lo sport debba apprezzare articoli di giardinaggio. Finora non ho mai messo in atto questo progetto perché non ne avevo le energie ed il tempo. Oggi la redazione del giornale si è potenziata un po’ e posso investire un impegno maggiore, spero con una certa regolarità.
Se le cose andranno bene ho altri progetti da mettere in pratica, non ultimo quello di realizzare tutta la piattaforma online basandola sulla blockchain di Hive, abbandonando i servizi di hosting tradizionali. Non so ancora se varrà la pena farlo, ci sono pro e contro da valutare, ma è un’ipotesi che mi affascina.
Chi vuol sapere come andrà non ha che da seguirmi e seguire i profili che aprirò in futuro, tutti marchiati con il nome di “Hermesnes”.
