Hey All,
Let me start this post by wishing all my friends here on the #HIVE community a very happy Sunday and I hope you all are having a relaxed day and have something planned you did like to enjoy with your family and friends. Speaking of myself then we have a family dinner planned and we will be going out to this famous place here in Ahmedabad and is known by name - Urban Chowk - Ahmedabad. Ok now the important part of this post which is high paying jobs in America and then comparing and see what are the high paying jobs in ones own country. Here is the list of high paying jobs in America which I got from my facebook feed by following #Wealthaire.. he provides good information around building discipline, Wealth & freedom. You can follow him if you like daily insights that should help improve yourself.
High Paying Jobs in America and then Comparing it with High Paying Jobs in India..
Looking at those figures of the profession and the money people are earning in America is truly amazing. And now when I copare those salaries with the profession here in India it looks like just peanuts. And my guess the same would be in the rest part of the world. For example, engineers in the United States earn around $100,000–$130,000 per year on average, whereas here in India an engineer would earn around $50,000 – $120,000+ please note this would be like top engineers working in MNCs [Multinational Companies] which are - Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe and others. I referred to a couple of reliable websites to gather the salary figures. For the U.S. data, I used bls.gov. For the Indian salary estimateswhich I browsed through glassdoor india to get the salary pacakages across various industries and companies. Here is the table comparing the top profession and their salary packages...
Top Paying Jobs — United States vs India Salary Comparison
| Profession | United States Salary (USD/year) Approx. | India Salary (USD/year) Approx. |
|---|---|---|
| Surgeon | $354,760 | $20,000 – $60,000 |
| Anesthesiologist | $336,640 | $25,000 – $70,000 |
| Airline Pilot | $226,600 | $30,000 – $120,000 |
| IT Manager | $171,200 | $25,000 – $60,000 |
| Financial Manager | $161,700 | $20,000 – $50,000 |
| Judge | $156,210 | $30,000 – $40,000 |
| Lawyer | $151,160 | $5,000 – $50,000+ |
| Software Developer | $133,080 | $8,000 – $25,000 (up to $60k in top firms) MNCs $120K+ |
| Nurse Practitioner | $128,490 | $4,000 – $10,000 |
| Accountant | $90,780 | $6,000 – $20,000 |
I leveraged chatgpt here to create me this markdown table and I guess it did a wonderful job in alignging the data for me. If you note for the salary packages here in India, I have put them as ranges rather than fixed figures. I have done this specifically because salaries in India can vary significantly depending on several factors such as experience, city, company, specialization, and demand for the profession. Now coming to the comparision it is evident no doubt America outstands in paying more but then we need to consider the cost of living of that country as well and there are other various important factors to be considered before making a final decision where one would like to work whether here in India or America. At the same time, career opportunities, work culture, quality of life, taxation, and personal priorities also play a significant role in such decision making. Finally no doubt salary do play an important role but it should not be the only factor when evaluating career prospects across different countries. Well this should be it for todays post on - "High Paying Jobs in America and then Comparing it with High Paying Jobs in India - Lets Explore..." I wish more Salary Packages to you all if you are a working proefessional..go grab it... good luck.. cheers...
