Let me start this post with giving the glimpse of my investment in the COTi v2 token and the COTi chain goverance token which is #gCOTi. As seen from the above image I have close to 155K+ #COTi and #gCOTi tokens staked in the COTi treasury and this is givnig me an APR[Annual Percentage Rate] of around 31% not bad at all. Only thing that is hurting at the moment is the price of the #COTi token which is trading around $0.01 cents but luckly today the token is up 5% so lets see if the upward momentum continues or not.
MetaMask Error while sending COTi V2 tokens - How to fix the issue?
Coming to the main part of this post which is around the error that is seen on MetaMask when you try to send COTi V2 tokens to some other COTi v2 wallet address. The error will be seen as soon you click on send #COTi tokens and here is the error message screenshot taken and just have a look...
After doing all kind of R&D i.e. removing the COTi network from metamask and then adding back the COTi v2 token contract address nothing worked and the same error remained. Also in this process, I was prompted with another error where it stated - "MetaMask had trouble starting" and hence Metamask application was restarted but then still no sucess.
So how did I resolve the error?
There were two things that I did, first one being reported the same error to the #COTi team on their discord and also at the same time raised a support ticket with the COTi team. Then afterwards, I removed i.e. uninstalled Metamask from my chrome and reinstalled it. After reinstalling it, I imported my ETH wallet and then tired connected to the COTi treasury we application. Connecting to the treasury was sucessfull and then I tired to send the #COTi v2 tokens via the Metamask and now by all surprises there was no error message recieived - "MetMask encountered an error" is was no more seen and now I could see the next screen and it now allowed me to sent the COTi v2 tokens. Here is the screen anyway that allows users to the sent the tokens on metamask..
But whereas when there was a Metamask error being reported we could not see the above screen. Any how I would say that reinstalling the Metamask and importing the ETH wallet along with reporting the error the the COTi team did the trick to resolve the issue. Did you guys notice the same issue or not? If yes let me know how did you resolve it - is it in the smae fashion or there is something else missing that I didnt capture it properly but well as of now I can send the COTi v2 tokens and hence I think the issue is more of resolved now.
