What a day for metals.. Once again, they continue to shine in the commodity market. Today, SILVER is up nearly 4% and is currently trading around ₹232,000+ per kg, which is approximately $2,650 USD. In the past 5 days, we have been witnessing a consistent increase in the price of SILVER and above bar chart depicts the same the price has been above Rs.200K+ mark and continues to climb. I believe if SILVER continues to outperform like this, we could see more records break and SILVER potentially touch ₹300K+ soon. Do you guys agree with me or not? SILVER - My Investment in SILVER ETF up 50% - What NeXt?
I have a small investment here which is like 20 units and my average buying price per unit is around Rs.140/- and current market price now is around Rs.220/- making overall profit of 57+% not bad at all right? And to be honest here I have recently invested in the SILVER ETF this would be like end of October I bought 10 units and then starting November I bought another 10 units and then seeing the price continue to rise I said lets stop here and see the profit accumulate. I was about to book profits today but then somehow stopped myself saying lets see on the coming Monday and then will be taking the final call with respect to booking profits here.
This is the first time that I have invest in an ETF else I used to buy physical gold & silver. The intention of entering SILVER ETF was to book profits and then re invest in some other stocks. Buying physical metal and then selling it incurs a lot of costs, and is generally not considered the most efficient investment approach and hence the entry to the ETF space. And looking at how metals have outperformed in 2025, it seems I’d be more interested in diversifying my investments in 2026 across stocks, crypto, and metal ETFs. This is going to be my plan ahead. I may also start investing in GOLD ETF as well. One things is for sure that I will not invest a big amount all at once rather will keep buying the units at regular intervals i.e. when there is a sharp decline. Let us see how things pan out in starting of 2026 and I will keep you guys posted on the same.
