First Day of Splinterlands 5 Years Anniversary Event: My partecipation, Guild Power, Calculations and Considerations
On 29 June 2023 Splinterlands will celebrate its 5th birthday and for this important occasion it has organised a 30-day event that started a few hours ago and will end on 29 June, in 29 days and 21 hours.
To participate in the 5 Years Anniversary Event, you must burn an amount of DEC tokens or DEC-B tokens (the soulbound version of DEC tokens).
Those who burn DEC tokens during the event will collect points which, for the same amount of DEC tokens burned, will be higher on the first day of the event and then decrease until the last day of the event.
Participating today will therefore be more advantageous than participating on the last day:
- 1 DEC token burned on the first day of the event = 3 points.
- 1 DEC token burned mid-event = 1.5 points.
- 1 DEC token burned on the last day of the event = 1 point.
The event has two reward mechanisms:
- 1 leaderboard: Rewards for the 200 players with the most points

The current event also introduces a new conversion mechanism because each DEC token burned will allow you to obtain 1 Guild Power (1 DEC burned = 1 Guild Power).
The Guild Power will be a new, soulbound game token and therefore non-sellable and non-transferable.
The Guild Power can be used to upgrade guild buildings and also introduces new contribution mechanisms within guilds because it can be donated to a guild on a permanent or temporary basis.
Starting 13 June 2023, those who contribute to the upgrade of a guild's buildings and choose to contribute temporarily will be able to take back 90% of the previously used Guild Power if they decide to change guild.

Four days ago I dedicated an entire post to the current event in which I shared information and considerations about the event and in which I also calculated the odds of receiving a prize from Raffle based on 5 hypothetical scenarios:
- Scenario 1: 1% of DEC Supply burning during first day of event
- Scenario 2: 5% of DEC Supply burning during first day of event
- Scenario 3: 10% of DEC Supply burning during first day of event
- Scenario 4: 20% of DEC Supply burning during first day of event
- Scenario 5: 50% of DEC Supply burning during first day of event

Now that the event has started I can make calculations not on hypothesis but on concrete data.
Calculations and Considerations
In less than six hours since the start of the event, **83,517,347,000 were burnt:
83,517,346,832 DEC.
68,944,966,462 DEC-B.
During the first day of the event, the following equation applies: 10K DEC burned = 30K Event Points.
10K DEC burned today guarantee 3 tickets/chances for the final Raffle.
This means that with a total of 152462313.29 DEC+DEC-B burned so far 45739 tickets/chances have been distributed for the Raffle.
This also means that each Raffle ticket currently has a 6.72% chance of winning a prize during the final Raffle.
Based on the current value of DEC tokens (1000 DEC = $0.834) 1 Raffle chance has a cost of 3333.33 DEC burned = $2.78
In the table below you can see the probability that 1 winning Raffle Chance currently has of receiving a certain prize in the raffle.
In all probability the total amount of burnt DEC tokens and DEC-B tokens will increase because not even one day has passed since the start of the event and consequently the odds of winning a prize from the raffle with one chance will most probably be much lower than the 6.7230% I calculated today.
Whoever wants to get to temporary first place today must surpass 
If you want to get on the leaderboard you must at least surpass 
My Participation: 50K DEC burned
I decided to participate in the 5 Years Anniversary Event and today I burned 50K DEC.
To participate in the event, I went to the SHOP->EVENT section of the Splinterlands website.
On the next screen I entered 50000 DEC in the ENTER BURN QUANTITY field, then clicked BURN and then confirmed my choice by clicking Confirm within the Hive Keychain screen.
With 50K DEC burn points I got:
- 150000 BURN POINTS
- 50000 GUILD POWER
At the end of the event, the 200 players who have burnt the most DEC or DEC-B tokens will be rewarded.
With 150K BURN POINTS I am placed at 327th place on the Leaderboard and thus am out of the Reward Zone (1-200) but have 15 chances of receiving a prize in the Final Raffle.
The reasons why I decided to participate in the 5 Years Anniversary Event of Splinterlands were not the prizes of the event because
- I don't have the available liquidity to finish in the top 200 positions
- the odds of receiving a prize in the final raffle for 10K event points are low today (6.72%) and will most likely be even lower when the event is over
I was happy to participate in the Splinterlands 5 Years Anniversary Event for two main reasons*:
- Reason 1: I definitely wanted to participate in the 5th birthday of my favourite blockchain-based game.
Splinterlands was also the first blockchain-based game I ever played and a large part of my interaction and publishing activity on Hive has been related to Splinterlands since my registration because more than 3.5 years after my first game battle I still enjoy playing Splinterlands, I enjoy increasing the battle strength of my card collection, I enjoy publishing Splinterlands-related content and I enjoy reading content published by other players. - Reason 2: even if I don't win the event prizes I will be able to use 50K Guild Power to contribute to the growth of my Guild: the EDSF Guild.
Playing in the Brawls is even more fun for me than playing in the Ranked Battles because in the guild the game is a team game and playing as a team is always more fun than playing for yourself.

Splinterlands 5 Year Anniversary Event: La mia partecipazione, Guild Power, Calcoli e Considerazioni

Per partecipare al 5 Years Anniversary Event è necessario bruciare un quantitativo di token DEC o token DEC-B (la versione soulbound dei token DEC).
Chi brucerà i token DEC durante l'evento raccoglierà dei punti che, a parità di token DEC bruciati, saranno maggiori il primo giorno dell'evento e poi decresceranno fino ad arrivare all'ultimo giorno dell'evento.
Partecipare oggi sarà quindi più conveniente che partecipare l'ultimo giorno:
- 1 token DEC bruciato il primo giorno dell'evento = 3 punti
- 1 token DEC bruciato a metà evento = 1.5 punti
- 1 token DEC bruciato l'ultimo giorno dell' evento = 1 punto.
L'evento ha due meccanismi di ricompensa:
- 1 leaderboard: Premi per i 200 giocatori che otterranno il maggior numero di punti

L'evento in corso introduce anche un nuovo meccanismo di conversione perchè ogni token DEC bruciato permetterà di ottenere 1 Guild Power (1 DEC burned = 1 Guild Power).
Il Guild Power sarà un nuovo token di gioco di tipo soulbound e quindi non vendibile e non trasferibile.
Il Guild Power potrà essere utilizzato per fare l'upgrade degli edifici delle Gilde e introduce anche dei meccanismi di contribuzione nuovi all'interno delle gilde perchè potrà essere donato ad una Gilda in modo permanente oppure in modo temporaneo.
A partire dal 13 giugno 2023 chi contribuirà all'upgrade degli edifici di una gilda e sceglierà di contribuire in modo temporaneo potrà riprendersi il 90% del Guild Power precedentemente utilizzato se deciderà di cambiare Gilda.

Quattro giorni fa ho dedicato un intero post all'evento in corso in cui ho condiviso informazioni e considerazioni sull evento e in cui ho anche calcolato le probabilità di ricevere un premio dalla Raffle in base a 5 ipotetici scenari:
- Scenario 1: 1% of DEC Supply burning during first day of event

Ora che l'evento è iniziato posso fare dei calcoli non su delle ipotesi ma su dati concreti.
Calcoli e Considerazioni
In meno di sei ore dall'inizio dell'evento sono stati bruciati:
83,517,346.832 DEC
68,944,966.462 DEC-B
Durante il primo giorno dell'evento vale la seguente equazione: 10K DEC bruciati = 30K Event Points
10K DEC bruciati oggi garantiscono 3 tickets/chances per la Raffle finale.
Questo vuol dire che con un totale di 152462313.29 DEC+DEC-B bruciati sono stati distribuiti fino ad ora 45739 tikets/chances per la Raffle.
Questo vuol dire anche che ogni ticket per la Raffle ha in questo momento una probabilità del 6.72% di vincere un premio durante la Raffle finale.
In base al valore attuale dei token DEC (1000 DEC = 0.834$) 1 Raffle chance ha un costo di 3333.33 DEC burned = 2.78$
Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere le probabilità che in questo momento ha 1 Raffle Chance vincente di ricevere un determinato premio nella raffle.
Con molta probabilità il quantitativo totale di token DEC e token DEC-B bruciati aumenterà perchè non è passato neanche un giorno dall'inizio dell'evento e di conseguenza anche le probabilità di vincere un premio dalla raffle con una sola chance saranno con molta probabilità molto minori del 6.7230% che ho calcolato oggi.

My Partecipation: 50K DEC bruciati
Io ho deciso di partecipare al 5 Years Anniversary Event e oggi ho bruciato 50K DEC.
Per partecipare all'evento sono andato nella sezione SHOP->EVENT del sito di Splinterlands.
Nella schermata successiva ho inserito 50000 DEC nel campo ENTER BURN QUANTITY, poi ho cliccato su BURN e poi ho confermato la mia scelta cliccando su Confirm all'interno della schermata di Hive Keychain.
Con 50K DEC bruciati ho ottenuto:
- 150000 BURN POINTS
- 50000 GUILD POWER
Alla fine dell'evento saranno premiati i 200 giocatori che avranno bruciato il maggior quantitativo di token DEC o DEC-B.
Con 150K BURN POINTS sono posizionato al 327° posto della Leaderboard e quindi sono fuori dalla Reward Zone (1-200) ma ho 15 chances di ricevere un premio nella Raffle finale.
I motivi per chi ho deciso di partecipare al 5 Years Anniversary Event di Splinterlands non sono stati i premi dell'evento perchè:
- non ho la liquidità disponibile per arrivare nelle prime 200 posizioni in classifica
- le probabilità di ricevere un premio nella raffle finale per 10K event points sono basse oggi (6.72%) e con molta probabilità saranno ancora più basse quando l'evento sarà terminato
Ho partecipato con piacere al 5 Years Anniversary Event di Splinterlands per due motivi principali:
- Motivo 1: Volevo assolutamente partecipare al 5° compleanno del mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito.
Splinterlands è stato anche il primo gioco basato su blockchain a cui ho giocato e gran parte della mia attività di interazione e pubblicazione su Hive è stata fin dalla mia iscrizione collegata a Splinterlands perchè dopo più di 3 anni e mezzo dalla mia prima battaglia di gioco ancora mi piace giocare su Splinterlands, mi piace aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte, mi piace pubblicare contenuti relativi a Splinterlands e mi piace leggere i contenuti pubblicati dagli altri giocatori. - Motivo 2: anche se non vincerò i premi dell'evento potrò utilizzare 50K Guild Power per contribuire alla crescita della mia Gilda: the EDSF Guild.
Giocare nelle Brawls è per me ancora più divertente che giocare nelle Ranked Battles perchè nella gilda il gioco è di squadra e giocare in squadra è sempre più divertente che giocare per se stessi!
