oggi farò un post un po' diverso dal solito parlandovi di un Festival che si è tenuto a Firenze lo scorso weekend chiamato Firenze Rocks!

Il festival si svolge dal 2017 e questa edizione è l'edizione che era stata programma per il 2020, rimandata poi per due anni.
Ho partecipato a 3 giorni di Festival su 4.
DAY 1
Per la prima volta nella mia vota ho visto i Green day dal vivo! li ascolto da quando sono piccola, ed è una di quelle band che ho sempre desiderato vedere e devo dire che non mi hanno deluso! Gran show! Il cantante Billie Joe è un maestro nel coinvolgere il pubblico e nel saperlo trascinare, e come ogni suo concerto ha invitato fan dal pubblico facendoli cantare e suonare con lui.
Per me è stato emozionante vedere dei ragazzi salire sul palco con i loro idoli, poterli abbracciare e suonare un paio di strofe con loro!
Per finire, i Green day hanno suonato la loro canzone più famosa "Good riddance (time of your life)" e capsita, è stata commovente!

DAY 2
Il secondo giorno come artisti di apertura al concerto principale c'erano i Placebo, gruppo inglese attivo da fine anni 90, che si è dimostrato assolutamente all'altezza del palcoscenico. Purtroppo il loro show è durato un'oretta e non hanno potuto suonare tutte le loro canzoni più famose, ma a livello di suoni e tecnica sono stati molto bravi.
Dopo di loro: i MUSE. E' la seconda volta che vedo dal vivo questa band e nemmeno questa volta mi hanno deluso! La vocalità del cantante Matt Bellamy, unita alla sua bravura da chitarrista, unita alla tecnicità del battrista e del bassoista hanno fatto di questo concerto un'esecuzione impeccabile ed emozionanete delle loro canzoni! Anche i pezzi nuovi che ho ascoltato in questa occasione per la prima volt mi sono piaciuti.
VOTO: 9+
DAY 3
Il terzo giorno è stato il giorno dei Red Hot Chili Peppers, in formazione originale con il loro storico chitarrista: John Frusciante.
Il bassista Flea è uno dei bassisti (a mio parere) più bravi al mondo, e vederlo suonare dal vivo ha confermato la mia impressione! Ha una velocità e una maestria nel suonare il basso incredibile, e insieme a Frusciante sono riusciti a creare dei bellissimi intermezzi musicali. Anche il batterista mi ha stupito, il suono potente dei suoi colpi mi ha travolto! Una pecca è stata la scaletta un po' scarna, con soli 15 pezzi circa, e una sosta tra una canzone e l'altra troppo lunga a mio parere. Ma nel complesso, bel concerto!
VOTO: 8 e mezzo
Nota negativa sull'organizzazione: Se decidete l'anno prossimo di partecipare al festival, vi consiglio di portarvi dei panini da mangiare dentro e delle bottigliette d'acqua con il tappo svitato (ma nascosto da qualche parte 😜). I prezzi per il bere e il cibo sono decisamente fuori norma (mezzo litro d'acqua a 3 euro per esempio), che mi hanno dato l'impressione di voler speculare fino all'ultimo centesimo su chi ha già pagato un biglietto costoso per partecipare ai concerti. Detto questo, i concerti sono stati molto belli e il mio voto è positivo 😊

today I'm going to make a slightly different post from the usual one by telling you about a festival that took place in Florence last weekend called Firenze Rocks!

The festival has been held since 2017 and this edition is the one that had been planned for 2020, then postponed for two years.
I attended 3 out of 4 days of the festival.
DAY 1
For the first time in my vote I saw Green day live! I've been listening to them since I was a kid, and it's one of those bands I've always wanted to see and I must say they didn't disappoint! Great show! Singer Billie Joe is a master at engaging the audience and drawing them in, and like every one of his concerts he invited fans from the audience to sing and play with him.
It was a thrill for me to see kids come on stage with their idols, to be able to hug them and play a couple of verses with them!
To top it off, Green day played their most famous song 'Good riddance (time of your life)' and it was moving!

DAY 2
On the second day as opening artists at the main concert were Placebo, an English band active since the late 90s, who proved to be absolutely up to the stage. Unfortunately their show lasted only an hour or so and they could not play all their most famous songs, but in terms of sound and technique they were very good.
After them: MUSE. This is the second time I have seen this band live and they did not disappoint me this time either! The vocals of vocalist Matt Bellamy, combined with his skill as a guitarist, combined with the technicality of the battrist and bass player made this concert a flawless and exciting performance of their songs! I also liked the new songs that I heard on this occasion for the first time.
VOTE: 9+
DAY 3
Day three was the day of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, in their original line-up with their historic guitarist: John Frusciante.
Bassist Flea is one of the (in my opinion) best bassists in the world, and seeing him play live confirmed my impression! He has an incredible speed and mastery of bass playing, and together with Frusciante they managed to create some beautiful musical interludes. The drummer also amazed me, the powerful sound of his drumming overwhelmed me! One flaw was the somewhat sparse setlist, with only about 15 pieces, and a break between songs that was too long in my opinion. But overall, great concert!
VOTE: 8 and a half
Note about the organisation: If you decide next year to attend the festival, I recommend you bring sandwiches to eat in and water bottles with the cap unscrewed (but hidden somewhere 😜). The prices for drinks and food are way out of line (half a litre of water for 3 euro for example), which gave me the impression of wanting to speculate every last cent on those who have already paid an expensive ticket to attend the concerts. That said, the concerts were very good and my vote is positive 😊
