Today we're talking about ice cream and, coincidentally, just yesterday I had a nice granita!
Yes, I know that a granita is not really an ice cream but, in my opinion, it belongs to the category.
Especially since a few days ago I treated myself to a nice brioche with coffee and whipped cream as you can see from this photo...
As you can guess from the pictures and also from last week's post, my favorite flavor is coffee ice cream!
Then yesterday I consumed my granita in my favorite post, sitting at the table in the gazebo of the Nuova Cremeria Sottozero on Via Marina di Reggio.
Spending such moments is relaxing and tasty at the same time... pure well-being, I would say.
On the occasion of yesterday, the celebrations for my Dad's birthday, I had ice cream with just who I prefer, my beloved Wife and my parents; for me the family is everything and with my family I'm fine, I can't ask for anything better!
I noticed, leafing through the menu, that vegan flavors have been added and even the one with stelvia and without sugar, of course it must be said that the ice cream shop we went to is the best in Reggio Calabria, therefore well stocked..
Of course we always keep a couple of tubs of ice cream at home for any emergency; of course it must be said that currently I can only eat it on Sundays as a snack.
As I have confessed in some of my posts, summer is not the season I love the most; but in the summer I really love ice cream and being able to swim in our fantastic hydromassage pool.
It must be said that here in Reggio Calabria we eat ice cream 365 days a year and that, together with my Dad, we have recently completed the cover that will allow me to use the pool even in winter so at this point I would have no problems to skip the summer heh heh!
I know it may seem strange, especially for a person who lives in a seaside city but, in reality, in Reggio Calabria we have beautiful mountains and then I love the cold and I much prefer it to the heat; to make you understand how atypical I am, I also love the sea in winter when it's big and stormy.
But you'll tell me that in winter you can't swim in the sea, yes it's true but I've always preferred swimming pools eh eh!
Anyway, let's not go off topic, ice cream is the focal point of the post and I, as a good Reggio citizen, really love it!
What else to say about this heavenly food, oh yeah!
I always love to eat it accompanied by a good brioche and whipped cream... if perfection exists I think it has the shape of a brioche with coffee ice cream and whipped cream!

Il lunedì è sempre tempo di Ecency e, anche questo, non può essere diversamente.
Oggi parliamo di gelato e, guarda caso, proprio ieri ho preso una bella granita!
Si, so che una granita non è proprio un gelato ma, secondo me, fa parte della categoria.
Tanto più che comunque, qualche giorno fa, mi sono concesso una bella brioche caffè e panna montata come puoi vedere da questa foto...
Come puoi intuire dalle immagini e anche dal post della settimana passata, il mio gusto preferito è il gelato al caffè!
Ieri poi ho consumato la mia granita nel post che preferisco, seduto al tavolino del gazebo della Nuova Cremeria Sottozero sulla Via Marina di Reggio.
Passare momenti del genere è rilassante e gustoso allo stesso tempo... benessere allo stato puro, direi.
Nell'occasione di ieri, i festeggiamenti per il compleanno del mio Papà, ho preso il gelato proprio con chi preferisco, la mia amata Mogliettina e i miei genitori; per me la famiglia è tutto e con la mia famiglia sto benissimo non chiedo di meglio!
Notavo, sfogliando il menù, che sono stati aggiunti i gusti vegani e addirittura quello con la stelvia e senza zucchero, certo c'è da dire che la gelateria in cui siamo stati è la migliore di Reggio Calabria, quindi fornitissima.
Naturalmente teniamo a casa sempre un paio di vaschette di gelato per ogni emergenza; certo c'è da dire che attualmente io posso mangiarlo solo la domenica a merenda.
Come ho confessato in alcuni dei miei post l'estate non è la stagione che più amo; però dell'estate amo proprio il gelato e il poter fare il bagno nella nostra fantastica piscinetta idromassaggio.
Certo, è pur vero che da noi a Reggio Calabria il gelato si mangia 365 giorni l'anno e che, insieme al mio Papà, abbiamo recentemente ultimato la copertura che mi permetterà di utilizzare la piscina anche in inverno quindi, a questo punto, non avrei problemi a saltare l'estate eh eh!
So che può sembrare strano, soprattutto per una persona che vive in una città di mare ma, in realtà, a Reggio Calabria abbiamo delle bellissime montagne e poi io amo il freddo e lo preferisco di gran lunga al caldo; per farti capire quanto sono atipico anche il mare lo amo in inverno quando è grosso e in tempesta.
Mi dirai che però in inverno al mare non ci si può fare il bagno, si è vero ma io ho sempre preferito le piscine eh eh!
Comunque non usciamo fuori tema, il gelato questo è il punto focale del post e io, da buon reggino, lo amo davvero!
Cosa altro dire su questo cibo paradisiaco, ah si!
Amo sempre mangiarlo accompagnato da una buona brioche e con della panna montata... se la perfezione esiste credo abbia la forma di una brioches con gelato al caffè e panna montata!
