Your list is very similar to the one I would make. In my case, Leonardo da Vinci would be at the top, not only for his work as a painter but also for being a mind that was eager to learn about any discipline and was so brilliant that he achieved excellence in practically everything he undertook.
Number 2 coincides with yours, Don Francisco de Goya y Lucientes. As you say, he was able to convey the psychology of the characters he portrayed. As he is a fellow countryman of mine, I have studied his life and work extensively and, indeed, he only liked kings for the money they paid him. He also had a strong character and was not cut out for court life.
The last place would go to Hieronymus Bosch. I remember the day I visited the Prado Museum and was able to enjoy his Garden of Earthly Delights all to myself. I stood there for about fifteen minutes, fascinated by trying to imagine what must have been going through his mind when he painted those figures. It's magnetic.
I enjoyed getting to know Isabelle Menin's work. To be honest, I don't usually get very involved with contemporary art. But her use of colour and light is inspiring. She also creates images that are close to dreamlike.
