Per ripristinare l'ammanco nel mio conto (causato da quel mini day hospital che m'ero fatta a febbraio), non avevo potuto che ricorrere all'attuale power down, che assieme agli ulteriori guadagni dai post, NFT e attività varie, alla fine ha raggiunto lo scopo, compreso il permetterci di comprare questo:
Grazie a Dio, finalmente! A questo corrimano tenevo davvero tanto. Al momento non siamo una coppia di terza età (ancora neppure di mezza età, anche se mio marito sta per arrivarci, essendo più grande di me), ma non si sa mai: se dopo i 65 (a patto di arrivarci) saremo ancora qui, una scala senza corrimano può diventare pericolosa a dispetto dei gradini antiscivolo. Considerati poi i miei attacchi di labirintite. Alla mia età, comunque, ancora me la cavo, anche a loro dispetto, ma non diventando ogni anno più giovane, come del resto nessuno lo diventa, non mi fiderei per il futuro.
Il lavoro d'installazione corrimano l'abbiamo fatto io e mio marito per risparmiare sulla manodopera e direi che è riuscito, anche se l'allineamento non è eccelso. Lo sto già sperimentando e direi che funziona a dovere.
Solo da un lato, per due motivi:
- non potevamo spendere quasi il doppio (questo quasi sta per la prossima foto)
- la scala sarebbe diventata stretta (non ha chissà quale larghezza), quindi sui due lati non era comunque fattibile
E questo è il piccolo complemento per i tre gradini che danno sul salone (la scala gira). Anche qui, solo da un lato (questo ha potuto installarlo mio marito da solo) perchè la parte opposta non ha parete, che termina con la scalinata principale. Scusate poi il disordine, ma non abbiamo una scarpiera e inoltre vecchie valige e scatoloni di cartone fungono da mobilio (santo cielo, mobili in casa ne abbiamo, ma non nella quantità che ci sarebbe servita a seguito del mio trasloco intercontinentale, però non temete, che nemmeno di questa sistemazione si muore). Fine di una storia che ritengo a lieto fine (scusate la ridondanza).

In order to restore the shortfall in my account (caused by that mini day hospital I had in February), I had no choice but to resort to the current power down, which together with the additional income from posts, NFTs and various activities, eventually achieved its purpose, including allowing us to buy this:
Thank God, at last! I was really looking forward to this handrail. At the moment we are not a third-age couple (not even middle-age yet, although my husband is about to get there, being older than me), but you never know: if we are still here after 65 years old (if we don't pass away before), a staircase without handrail can become dangerous in spite of non-slippery steps. Considering also my labyrinthitis attacks. At my age, however, I still manage this circumstance, even in spite of them, but by not getting younger every year, as no one does, I wouldn't be the same confident for the future.
My husband and I did the handrail installation work to save on workman labour and I would say it was fairly successful, even if the alignment is not excellent. I'm already experimenting with it and I'd say it's working fine.
Only one side for two reasons:
- we couldn't spend almost twice as much (this almost stands for the next photo)
- the staircase would have become narrow (it's not that wide), so on both sides it was not feasible anyway
And this is the small addition for the three steps leading to the living room (the staircase turns). Again, only on one side (my husband was able to install this himself alone) because the opposite side has no wall, which ends with the main staircase. Excuse the mess, but we don't have a shoe cabinet and in addition, old suitcases and cardboard boxes serve as furniture (goodness, we do have furniture in the house, but not in the quantity we would have needed after my intercontinental move, but don't worry, this arrangement won't kill my couple either). End of a story that I believe has a happy ending (sorry for the redundancy).
