Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.
Non più dei "loser", derisi da tutti e considerati strani ma dei tipi interessanti a cui dedicare spazio e di cui fidarsi, innamorarsi e ridere insieme. "Silicon Valley" ha aggiunto nuove sfaccettature al mondo dei NERD.
Nella serie tv si da spazio al lato geniale ed alle difficoltà patite a livello imprenditoriale da parte di questi ragazzi, geni assoluti che vorrebbero cambiare il mondo ma che dovranno fare i conti con gli squali che sguazzano nella vasca insaguinata dei mostri dell'Hi Tech.
La serie tv aveva oramai da un paio di stagioni perso lo smalto degli esordi.
Il volerla chiudere qui, senza allungarne ulteriormente il brodo, può considerarsi, dunque, un bene.
Il senso di chiusura non ha permeato, purtroppo, questi ultimi 7 episodi. E' un vero dramma assistere alla dipartita di una storica serie tv come questa, senza mai avvertire il peso della sua futura assenza.
Sembrava di essere nel mezzo di una qualsiasi stagione passata.
Soliti schemi, soliti imprevisti, solite situazioni. Gag esilaranti e battute acute ma oramai troppo ripetitive. Solo l'episodio finale è riuscito a trovare un guizzo, neppure tanto riuscito a dir la verità.
Il finale in senso stretto ha forse deluso leggermente.
Non si è avvertita l'emozione dell'addio nè il senso di tutta l'operazione.
Il fatto stesso che questa recensione sia molto breve e molto poco sentita, nonostante l'amore iniziale pressochè incondizionato per questi simpatici NERD della valle più ricca del mondo, testimonia quanto sia andata a scemare la qualità intrinseca della serie HBO.
Resta la sensazione di una serie tv con un potenziale espresso al massimo nelle prime stagioni ma sviluppata peggio nelle ultime 3 stagioni.
Non potrebbe essere altrimenti.
Non sarà facile dimenticarla ma sarà un ricordo che vivremo in pace, consapevoli che il nostro rapporto con quei pazzi amici non sarebbe potuto durare per sempre ed è terminato quando era forse maturo il tempo della separazione.
Ci mancheranno ma quando vorremo farci 4 risate li troveremo su Youtube e nei vari cataloghi sparsi nelle selvagge terre dello streaming, pronti ad allietarci con le loro teorie sul "tempo sega medio" e altre strampalate congetture.

Silicon Valley as you've never seen it?
Startups as if it were raining?
Unlikely geniuses grappling with millions of dollars?
2019 has been packed with serial news. Should you want to tap into a few titles, I remind you that there is always the section dedicated to that magnificent year, a section you can find here.
From Watchmen to Chernobyl, via Too Old too die Young and The Mandalorian, there have been so many new series that have left a very strong impression on the year in which they debuted.
It was also a year of big goodbyes (click here to find out the ranking of the best finales of 2019) on which stood out The Affair and The Deuce but also a very important comedy that has kept us company for the last 6 years.
In its debut Silicon Valley had managed to carve out a crucial space for itself in the comedy landscape.
The TV series had managed to offer another facet to the Nerd universe, offering new nuances on the theme, much as the pioneer The Big Bang Theory, which also ended in the same year.
Brilliant and brilliant young people, shy and geeky, awkward and bordering on autistic, rose to prominence thanks to Chuck Lorre's series, which had succeeded in changing the paradigm from what had always been considered a niche underground world mostly composed of losers.
No longer "losers," laughed at by everyone and considered weird, but interesting guys to devote space to and to trust, fall in love with and laugh with. "Silicon Valley" has added new facets to the world of NERDs.
In the TV series, space is given to the genius side and the difficulties suffered at the entrepreneurial level by these guys, absolute geniuses who would like to change the world but who will have to deal with the sharks wallowing in the bloody pool of Hi Tech monsters.
The final season of Silicon Valley was shorter than usual.
Only 7 episodes to close the loop on the historical stories and characters. that have populated the HBO series for many years.
The TV series had lost the polish of its beginnings for a couple of seasons now.
Wanting to close it here, without further lengthening its broth, can be considered, therefore, a good thing.
The sense of closure has unfortunately not permeated these last 7 episodes. It is a real tragedy to witness the departure of a historic TV series like this one, without ever feeling the weight of its future absence.
It felt like being in the middle of any past season.
Usual patterns, usual contingencies, usual situations. Hilarious gags and sharp but now too repetitive jokes. Only the final episode managed to find a wriggle, not even that successful to tell the truth.
A masking of the factual reality that hit pied piper that slowly reveals to the viewer what had really happened to the company. An interesting ploy that certainly enlivened the final episode of the highly successful and award-winning comedy.
The surprise effect displaced everyone, setting itself up as an intriguing twist but one that perhaps came too late, when the games were now played and interest totally lapsed.
The ending in the strict sense perhaps disappointed slightly.
One did not feel the emotion of the farewell nor the sense of the whole thing.
The very fact that this review is very short and very unfeeling, despite the initial almost unconditional love for these likeable NERDs from the richest valley in the world, testifies to how much the intrinsic quality of the HBO series has waned.
The feeling remains of a TV series with potential expressed to its fullest in the first seasons but developed worse in the last 3 seasons.
We will miss the dynamics between Richard, Dinash and all the other historical members of Pied Piper's founding group. We will miss their misadventures and strokes of genius. Will we miss Silicon Valley?
It could not be otherwise.
It will not be easy to forget but it will be a memory we will live in peace, knowing that our relationship with those crazy friends could not have lasted forever and ended when the time for separation was perhaps ripe.
We will miss them but when we want to have 4 laughs we will find them on Youtube and in the various catalogs scattered in the wilds of streaming, ready to cheer us with their theories about "average wank time" and other wacky conjectures.
