Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.
Se vi piacciono le storie sui presidenti americani non disperate che show time ha pensato a voi. 3 storie, 3 donne, 3 potenze della natura. 3 first lady.

The First Lady è l'emblema della serie che non può non piacere e che non può non nascondere elementi di interesse per tutti noi.
Il titolo della nuova serie tv di Showtime non lascia molto spazio all'immaginazione.
Una volta tanto, infatti, tutto è come sembra.
The First Lady è una serie tv che parla di first lady, al plurale.

A supporto di uno show di cosi ampio respiro e di cosi enorme portata, specie per il popolo statunitense, Showtime ha ben pensato di servirsi di 3 attrici da urlo.
Dopo l'immagine di copertina, scoprirete, se vorrete, di chi sto parlando (anche se, ai più "sgamati" di voi, l'immagine offrirà qualche anticipazione).

Per interpretare l'iconica moglie di Barack Obama, i produttori hanno ben pensato di chiedere aiuto all'attrice americana più nota, celebrata e premiata di sempre. Viola Davis (Peacemaker, How To Get Away With Murder) è una perfetta first lady del primo presidente afroamericano della storia degli U.S.A.

Ultima, ma non ultima, è Michelle Pfeiffer, che nella serie interpreta forse la meno nota delle 3 prime donne a stelle strisce, ovvero Betty Ford, moglie di Gerald Ford, presidente per caso figlio dello scandalo Watergate che quest'anno si avvicina al compimento del mezzo secolo di vita.
Ed è proprio quest'ultima che, forse, buca maggiormente lo schermo durante il pilot.
Vuoi perchè di Michelle Obama abbiamo già vissuto "live" molte cose, vuoi perchè Eleanor Roosevelt è un nome che spesso compare quando ci approcciamo alla prima guerra mondiale, quello di Betty Ford era il percorso forse meno noto e che, dunque, guardavamo con maggiore curiosità.

Costantemente viva grazie alla speranza di ritornare a vivere la propria indipendenza lontana da Washington dopo ben 13 campagne elettorali vissute accanto al marito. Ed è questo, unito al suo essere anticonformista e vicina ai veri problemi della gente, ad averla resa cosi amata dal popolo e cosi poco amata dall'establishment repubblicano.
Di Michelle Obama sappiamo praticamente tutto.
Il suo ingresso "a palazzo", ed il flashback sul suo passato, sono forse stati l'elemento più interessante ma è indubbio che non sarebbe esistito Obama senza Michelle, ed è quello che la serie non manca di ricordarci ad ogni sequenza.
Per finire, Eleanor Roosevelt è sembrata la donna che più di tutte ha subito le circostanze. Le circostanze derivanti dal suo titolo, quelle derivanti dal ruolo della donna nella società di inizio novecento, quelle derivanti dalle cattive condizioni di salute di suo marito, uomo politico predestinato ma a cui il destino, e la poliomelite, hanno riservato un beffardo scherzo.
Lo show della cable tv americana che ha dato i natali a Dexter ed Homeland, avanza senza alcun problema, raccontandoci 3 storie che, più o meno, ci interessano.

If you like stories about American presidents don't despair, Show Time has thought of you. 3 stories, 3 women, 3 powers of nature. 3 first ladies.

The title of the new TV series of Showtime does not leave much room for imagination.
Once in a while, in fact, everything is as it seems.
The First Lady is a TV series about the first lady, plural.

To support a show of such a wide scope and so huge, especially for the people of the United States, Showtime has well thought of using 3 actresses to scream.
After the cover image, you will find out, if you want, who I'm talking about (although, to the most "uninformed" of you, the image will offer some anticipation).

To play the iconic wife of Barack Obama, the producers have decided to ask for help from the most famous, celebrated and award-winning American actress ever. Viola Davis (Peacemaker, How To Get Away With Murder) is a perfect first lady to the first African-American president in U.S. history.

Last, but not least, is Michelle Pfeiffer, who in the series plays perhaps the least known of the 3 first women in stars stripes, or Betty Ford, wife of Gerald Ford, president by chance son of the Watergate scandal that this year is approaching the completion of half a century of life.
And it is precisely the latter that, perhaps, most pierces the screen during the pilot.
Whether it's because we've already experienced many things "live" about Michelle Obama, or because Eleanor Roosevelt is a name that often appears when we approach the First World War, Betty Ford's path was perhaps less known and therefore we watched with more curiosity.

Constantly alive thanks to the hope of returning to live her independence away from Washington after no less than 13 electoral campaigns lived next to her husband. And it is this, combined with her being nonconformist and close to the real problems of the people, to have made her so loved by the people and so little loved by the Republican establishment.
We know practically everything about Michelle Obama.
Her entrance "to the palace", and the flashback on her past, were perhaps the most interesting element, but there is no doubt that there would be no Obama without Michelle, and this is what the series does not fail to remind us at every sequence.
To conclude, Eleanor Roosevelt seemed to be the woman who suffered the most from circumstances. Circumstances deriving from her title, those deriving from the role of women in early twentieth-century society, those deriving from the poor health of her husband, a predestined politician but to whom fate, and polio, reserved a mocking joke.
The show of the American cable TV that gave birth to Dexter and Homeland, advances without any problem, telling us 3 stories that, more or less, we are interested.
