Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo (sesta stagione di Peaky Blinders) che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.

Oggi vi parlo dei primi 2 episodi della sesta stagione di Peaky Blinders, serie che non potete non conoscere e che non potete non provare a recuperare.
E' fondamentale che voi lo facciate!
Imperativo!

I primi 2 episodi, Black Day e Black Shirt, hanno ricordato a tutti perchè la fama della serie britannica abbia oramai raggiunto proporzioni gigantesche e perchè oggi i Peaky Blinders siano noti, notissimi in tutto il mondo.
Vi dirò di più. Questi primi 2 episodi hanno forse offerto ancor qualcosa di più, aggiungendo all'aspetto criminale e macchiavellico che abbiamo sempre riscontrato ed adorato anche una dimensione più intima e mistica, oltre ad una pericolosa contaminazione storica che potrebbe far convergere Tommy Shelby e il fascismo/nazismo all'alba della seconda guerra mondiale.

Non è un caso che il secondo episodio si intitoli Black Shirt (camicia nera) proprio per richiamare, e sottolineare, le camice nere indossate dai fascisti di tutto il continente che sin dagli albori degli anni '30 avevano iniziato a vessare gli ebrei e preparare il terreno per quello che sarebbe stato il più grande genocidio che la storia ricordi.
Tommy, sarà il ponte fra socialismo e nazionalsocialismo?
La comparsa sul proscenio di una figura ingombrante come quella di Winston Churchill ci lascia presagire che qualcosa di politcamente rilevamente avverrà. Il ritorno di Mosley esprime tutta l'ambizione della serie nel tentativo di mettere a confronto le anime democratiche e quelle autocratiche, proprio interponendo loro il criminale di quartiere divenuto parlamentare socialista, quel Tommy Shelby abilissimo a muoversi tra i grigi e nelle ombre, quasi come un Batman vissuto 1 secolo fa a cui poco importa del bene comune e della giustizia.
Riuscirà Tommy ad evitare la catastrofe nazista?
Riuscirà Tommy a salvarsi dalle minacce interne ed esterne?
A questa domanda potrebbe rispondere la storyline americana, quella in cui ritroviamo Anya Taylor Joy (La Regina degli scacchi) e facciamo la conoscenza di suo zio Nelson, altro uomo di mezzo che si divide fra criminalità organizzata e salotti del potere.
Le commistioni tra politica, potere, malaffare ed intelligence sembrano essere il fil rouge di questi primi 2 episodi, episodi che sembrano averci consegnato uno show che, ad un passo dal termine, ha deciso di ampliarsi ancor di più.
Il socialismo, il nazismo, l'oppio, il proibizionismo, la malattia di Ruby, le mistificazioni Gypsy, le vendette, l'antisemitismo ed al centro di tutto Tommy, i suoi dolori, i suoi lutti, il suo inferno, ma anche la sua sete di essere colui che muove i fili.
Nell'ombra.

As usual today I bring you a new Preview of an article (Peaky Blinders season six) that in a few days or weeks you will see in the Mind of a SerialFiller, my blog entirely focused on the world of TV series and of which, since a few months, I decided to give you constantly, in advance of what I will publish, most of the posts you will see on www.serialfiller.org.

Today I'm talking about the first 2 episodes of the sixth season of Peaky Blinders, a series that you can't miss and that you can't not try to catch up with.
It's imperative that you do!
Imperative!

The first 2 episodes, Black Day and Black Shirt, reminded everyone why the fame of the British series has now reached gigantic proportions and why Peaky Blinders is now known, very well known, all over the world.
I'll tell you more. These first 2 episodes have perhaps offered even something more, adding to the criminal and Machiavellian aspect that we have always found and adored also a more intimate and mystical dimension, as well as a dangerous historical contamination that could bring together Tommy Shelby and fascism/Nazism at the dawn of World War II.

It is no coincidence that the second episode is titled Black Shirt just to recall, and emphasize, the black shirts worn by fascists across the continent that since the dawn of the '30s had begun to harass the Jews and prepare the ground for what would be the greatest genocide that history remembers.
Tommy, will it be the bridge between socialism and national socialism?
The appearance on the proscenium of an unwieldy figure such as Winston Churchill lets us presage that something politically relevant will happen. The return of Mosley expresses all the ambition of the series in an attempt to confront the democratic souls and the autocratic ones, interposing them with the neighborhood criminal who has become a socialist parliamentarian, Tommy Shelby, very skilled in moving between the gray and shadows, almost like a Batman who lived a century ago and cares little about the common good and justice.
Will Tommy be able to avoid the Nazi catastrophe?
Will Tommy be able to save himself from internal and external threats?
This question could be answered by the American storyline, the one in which we find Anya Taylor Joy (The Chess Queen) and meet her uncle Nelson, another middle man who divides his time between organized crime and the salons of power.
The mix of politics, power, malfeasance and intelligence seem to be the fil rouge of these first 2 episodes, episodes that seem to have given us a show that, a step away from the end, has decided to expand even more.
Socialism, Nazism, opium, prohibition, Ruby's illness, Gypsy's mystifications, revenge, anti-Semitism and at the center of it all Tommy, his pain, his grief, his hell, but also his thirst to be the one who pulls the strings.
In the shadows.
