Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.
Si ritorna a parlare di loro.
Senza appello.

E' il 4 episodio.
Dell'ultima stagione.
Reggetevi forte.
E non scendete dalla giostra.

"Sapphire" è il titolo del quarto episodio della sesta,ed ultima, stagione. In un'annata, classicamente, composta da 6 episodi, questo equivale a dire che altri 2 episodi e tutto sarà concluso.
L'epopea di Thomas Shelby e della sua burrascosa famiglia volgerà al termine e con essa la saga dei nostri amatissimi Peaky Blinders.
Per chi avesse visto "Gold", terzo episodio della stagione 6, il titolo della quarta puntata potrebbe già dire qualcosa.
Parliamone dopo l'immagine in modo da regalarci qualche spoiler, laddove servisse.

Lo zaffiro blu, almeno nell'interpretazione gipsy di Esme, sorella di Tommy, è stato il seme della discordia e di tutte le sfortune del capo e fondatore dei Peaky.
Fu lui, infatti, a regalare quello zaffiro, molti anni prima ad una donna. Da quel momento in poi, la donna fu vittima di numerose sfortune, sfortune da lei attribuite a Thomas Shelby.
Nella migliore tradizione gipsy, quel giro di minacciosi e luttuosi eventi, innescò una profonda, puntuale e violenta maledizione, proprio verso Thomas Shelby.
Ruby, la tenera e innocente Ruby, sarà colei che quella maledizione subirà, morendo prematuramente all'età di 7 anni, vittima di tubercolosi.
A nulla servirà tutto l'oro del mondo.
A nulla servirà l'impegno infaticabile di suo padre Thomas.
A nulla servirà l'amore di Lizzie.
"Sapphire" si apre proprio con il funerale di Ruby.
Toccante come pochi altri momenti. Le urla di Lizzie, il silenzio degli astanti, la carrozza che brucia, la corona di fiori con scritto il suo nome. I momenti di dolore comune e personalissimo di tutta la famiglia.
Tutto ci fa stare male, creando una situazione ossequiosa tra noi, Lizzie e Tommy, quasi come tutto stesse accadendo davvero e non fossimo di fronte ad un momento di pura finzione.
E finzione, purtroppo, non è stata, a livello storico, quello che a tratti viene mostrato durante i minuti successivi.
Il mondo è impazzito. Gli ebrei sono visti come il male e come il nulla allo stesso tempo. Svastiche vengono issate, saluti nazisti vengono messi in bella vista, uomini e donne giudicati per la loro discendenza, per il loro credo, per la loro appartenenza geografica, politica, etnica e religiosa.
L'alba del più vergognoso momento della storia dell'umanità è alle porte.
Thomas sarà colui che, almeno nella finzione, riuscirà a salvare il salvabile?
Tommy Shelby sarà il cavallo di troia di Winston Churchill?
Difficile dirlo.
Impossibile prevederlo.
Nonostante il tempo dei Peaky Blinders stia per scadere.
Cosi come quello di Tommy.
Cosi come quella lastra sentenzia.
Inappellabile.
Come lo scorrere del tempo.
Come un lutto.
Come una malattia.
Come i maledetti Peaky Blinders!

"Sapphire" is the title of the fourth episode of the sixth, and final, season. In a year, classically, composed of 6 episodes, this is equivalent to saying that 2 more episodes and everything will be concluded.
The epic story of Thomas Shelby and his stormy family will come to an end and with it the saga of our beloved Peaky Blinders.
For those who have seen "Gold", the third episode of season 6, the title of the fourth episode may already say something.
Let's talk about it after the image in order to give us some spoilers, where needed.

The blue sapphire, at least in the gypsy interpretation of Esme, Tommy's sister, was the seed of discord and all the misfortunes of the leader and founder of the Peaky.
It was he, in fact, who gave that sapphire, many years earlier to a woman. From that moment on, the woman was the victim of numerous misfortunes, misfortunes that she attributed to Thomas Shelby.
In the best gypsy tradition, that round of threatening and mournful events, triggered a deep, timely and violent curse, right towards Thomas Shelby.
Ruby, the tender and innocent Ruby, will be the one who will suffer that curse, dying prematurely at the age of 7 years, victim of tuberculosis.
All the gold in the world will be useless.
Nothing will help the tireless efforts of his father Thomas.
Nothing will help the love of Lizzie.
"Sapphire" opens with Ruby's funeral.
Touching as few other moments. Lizzie's screams, the silence of the bystanders, the burning carriage, the wreath with her name written on it. The moments of shared and very personal grief of the entire family.
Everything makes us feel bad, creating an obsequious situation between us, Lizzie and Tommy, almost as if everything was really happening and we were not in front of a moment of pure fiction.
And fiction, unfortunately, was not, on a historical level, what is shown at times during the following minutes.
The world has gone mad. Jews are seen as evil and as nothing at the same time. Swastikas are hoisted, Nazi salutes are placed in plain sight, men and women judged for their ancestry, their beliefs, their geographical, political, ethnic and religious affiliations.
The dawn of the most shameful moment in human history is upon us.
Will Thomas be the one who, at least in fiction, will be able to save what can be saved?
Will Tommy Shelby be the trojan horse of Winston Churchill?
Hard to say.
Impossible to predict.
Although Peaky Blinders' time is running out.
So is Tommy's.
So is that slab sentence.
Inappellable.
Like the passage of time.
Like a bereavement.
Like a disease.
Like bloody Peaky Blinders!
