Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.

Inesorabile arriva la seconda parte della recensione su Sons of Anarchy.
Non perdetevela.

La sua intelligenza funge da macigno sulla sua coscienza e da martello nei confronti di un'organizzazione che scopre essere ben diversa da quella che sua madre Gemma, suo padre e i suoi "zii" bikers gli avevano sempre raccontato. Il tentativo di rifondarla dall'interno, di allontanarla dai traffici illeciti e riportarla ai suoi antichi valori saranno non altro che una forza centripeta che renderà i SAMCRO sempre più attratti dal crimine e da criminali sempre più spietati, sempre più cinici, sempre più forti. Quella di Jax è una corsa drammatica su una scala mobile percorsa testardamente al contrario.
Non una vita classica da bravo ragazzo ma una vita da non criminale, vissuta con amore verso la sua Tara e i suoi figli e con rispetto e passione verso i propri fratelli. Ma quando si gioca sporco i danni collaterali sono dietro l'angolo, e di danni collaterali tutta la serie viene costellata.
E cosi evento dopo evento Jax si ritroverà dentro una spirale di violenza senza fine alla quale non riuscirà mai a sottrarsi.
Ineluttabile.
Questa è la parola chiave di una serie superba dove il destino sembra essere già scritto per tutti.
Qualunque sia il sogno che hai, qualunque sia la speranza che ti porti dentro, non basterà.
Sembra essere questa la morale Sutteriana, quella che avevamo già apprezzato nel ruvido e bellissimo The Shield.

In un mondo cosi spietato dovrai guardare le spalle a te e ai tuoi cari, e non è detto che questo possa bastare. Il destino è beffardo e nonostante gli sforzi il fato continuerà il suo cammino, proseguirà il suo lavoro, continuerà a compiersi, trascinando con se ogni progetto di una vita diversa.
Lo show di Kurt Sutter è inesorabile, non fa prigionieri, non fa sconti a nessuno. Nessuno è al sicuro, il diavolo è nei dettagli ed il nostro oscuro passeggero spesso avrà la meglio sui buoni propositi.
Al confronto Game of Thrones, il vero Game of Thrones, quello delle prime stagioni, sembra quasi tenero, quasi benevolo con i suoi personaggi.
Opie, Bobbi, Tig, Juice, Chibs, Unser, Tara, Clay, Chucky, Piney sono personaggi tragici seppur diversissimi fra loro.
La fedeltà di alcuni come controaltare all'avidità di altri.
L'arroganza di qualcuno ha bilanciato la spensieratezza di qualcun altro.
Ognuno è però stato travolto dallo stesso ineluttabile destino, messo in scena gagliardamente a suon di plot twist che non hanno mai fatto rima con "deus ex machina". Ognuno ha assolto fino in fondo al proprio destino, come se fosse già scritto, accettandolo e abbracciandolo quando è stato il momento senza mai arrendersi ad esso fino in fondo.
Da Sons of Anarchy è nato anche uno spinoff, Mayans M.C., da poco rinnovato per una terza stagione. Molto simile alla serie madre e per questo meno dirompente ma comunque efficace.
Se avete voglia di regalarvi una serie da mettere nella vostra top 10 allora non aspettate,
Sons of Anarchy è ciò che fa per voi.

His intelligence acts as a boulder on his conscience and a hammer against an organization that he discovers is quite different from the one his mother Gemma, his father and his biker "uncles" had always told him. The attempt to rebuild it from the inside, to get it away from illegal trafficking and bring it back to its old values will be nothing but a centripetal force that will make SAMCRO more and more attracted to crime and criminals more and more ruthless, more and more cynical, more and more strong. Jax's is a dramatic ride on an escalator stubbornly traveled in reverse.
Not a classic good guy life, but a non-criminal life, lived with love towards his Tara and his children and with respect and passion towards his brothers. But when you play dirty collateral damage is around the corner, and collateral damage throughout the series is studded.
And so, event after event, Jax will find himself inside a spiral of endless violence that he will never be able to escape.
Inescapable.
This is the key word of a superb series where destiny seems to be already written for everyone.
Whatever dream you have, whatever hope you carry inside, it will not be enough.
This seems to be the Sutterian moral, the one we already appreciated in the rough and beautiful The Shield.

In a world so ruthless you'll have to watch your back and your loved ones, and that may not be enough. Fate is mocking and despite the efforts fate will continue its path, will continue its work, will continue to fulfill itself, dragging with it every project of a different life.
Kurt Sutter's show is inexorable, it takes no prisoners, it doesn't discount anyone. No one is safe, the devil is in the details and our dark passenger will often get the better of good intentions.
In comparison Game of Thrones, the real Game of Thrones, the one of the first seasons, seems almost tender, almost benevolent with its characters.
Opie, Bobbi, Tig, Juice, Chibs, Unser, Tara, Clay, Chucky, Piney are tragic if very different characters.
The loyalty of some as a counterbalance to the greed of others.
The arrogance of some balanced the carefree attitude of others.
Each one, however, has been overwhelmed by the same inescapable destiny, staged in a galliard fashion to the sound of plot twists that have never rhymed with "deus ex machina". Everyone has fulfilled their destiny to the end, as if it were already written, accepting and embracing it when the time came without ever surrendering to it to the end.
From Sons of Anarchy was also born a spinoff, Mayans M.C., recently renewed for a third season. Very similar to the mother series and therefore less disruptive but still effective.
If you want to give yourself a series to put in your top 10 then do not wait,
Sons of Anarchy is for you.
