Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.

No, davvero, ma quanto è bravo Oscar Isaac?

Signori, onestamente: quanto è bravo Oscar Isaac?

Eh niente, lo avrete capito, reputo Oscar Isaac un gigante della recitazione contemporanea.
Non che ci volesse Moon Knight per scoprirlo ma è bello constatare che, anche attraverso un prodotto "commerciale", in molti possano scoprire il talento unico di un attore di questo calibro.
Si parla sempre di attori che rifiutano ruoli nel Marvel Cinematic Universe per non piegarsi alla logica dei blockbuster supereroistici e fumettosi, troppo poco si parla di quanto, per un attore bravo come Isaac, sfociare nell'universo fumettistico più famoso di sempre, possa essere un ulteriore modo per far conoscere, a chi magari non ne ha mai avuto occasione (in tal caso, un grosso "buh" per voi), il proprio poliedrico e carismatico talento.
Detto ciò, tuffiamoci in questo "Summon The Suit", secondo episodio della miniserie con il buon Isaac protagonista.
Un commento veloce? Mi ha soddisfatto enormemente.

Ho saputo, per interposte persone, e tramite il famigerato e selvaggio web che questo nuovo personaggio Disney Plus/Marvel non sta facendo battere i cuori.
A me sta accadendo il contrario.
La duplicità e l'insicurezza trasmesse da Isaac nell'impersonare il suo Steven/Marc mi sta mandando in brodo di giuggiole.
E', inoltre, pregevole la scelta degli autori di tenere Moon Knight, l'eroe, ancora molto nascosto. Mi ha ricordato il primo Daredevil, quello potente e imperfetto, quello misterioso e ancora alla ricerca del proprio destino.
Il fatto che ci sia poca azione (anche se vorrei parlarne un attimo...) e che ci siano ancora pochi riferimenti all'universo a noi noto, perchè mai dovrebbe costituire un problema? Semmai, in questo caso, mi sembra essere un bel pregio.
Avanzare insieme a Steven alla scoperta della sua doppia personalità, del suo essere cosi fuori posto rispetto al suo alterego, il suo non sapere credo sia un eccellente filo conduttore che collega direttamente lui a noi, la serie agli spettatori.
Anche con il The Batman di Reeves credo sia emersa chiarissima una cosa (ed ancora una volta qui ci vedo un'eredità Daredeviliana): non esistono eroi perfetti e soprattutto gli eroi perfetti e la costruzione del loro mito senza che vi sia una macchia o un alone, non funziona. Può intrattenere benissimo, può seminare accoliti ma alla fine non rende giustizia a quei personaggi.
Sapere che Steven è Marc e che Marc ha una moglie e che quella moglie è legata a doppio filo al dio Konshu e che Marc altro non sta facendo che proteggerla e che quindi tutta questa storia è molto più grossa, ma allo stesso tempo intima, di quanto si potrebbe immaginare, rende il tutto molto più vero, molto più umano, molto più bello da scoprire e poi analizzare.
Che intorno a tutto ciò ci siano scarabei, divinità egizie, magie e gente con i superpoteri mi sembra, al momento, un contorno e non viceversa.
Se poi hai a disposizione anche l'arma Isaac...i conti non posson che tornare.

Gentlemen, honestly: how good is Oscar Isaac?

You may have guessed it, I consider Oscar Isaac a giant of contemporary acting.
Not that it took Moon Knight to discover him but it's nice to see that, even through a "commercial" product, many can discover the unique talent of an actor of this caliber.
We always talk about actors who refuse roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in order not to bow to the logic of superhero and comic book blockbusters, too little is said about how, for an actor as good as Isaac, venturing into the most famous comic book universe of all time, can be another way to make known, to those who perhaps have never had the opportunity (in that case, a big "boo" for you), his versatile and charismatic talent.
That said, let's dive into this "Summon The Suit", the second episode of the miniseries with the good Isaac in the lead.
A quick review? I was enormously pleased.

I've heard, through interlocutors, and via the infamously wild web that this new Disney Plus/Marvel character isn't making hearts flutter.
The opposite is happening to me.
The duplicity and insecurity conveyed by Isaac in impersonating his Steven/Marc is sending me into a swoon.
It is, also, commendable that the writers chose to keep Moon Knight, the hero, still very much under wraps. He reminded me of the first Daredevil, the powerful and flawed one, the mysterious one still searching for his destiny.
The fact that there is little action (although I would like to talk about it for a moment ...) and that there are still few references to the universe known to us, why should it be a problem? If anything, in this case, it seems to me to be a nice plus.
Advancing with Steven to the discovery of his dual personality, his being so out of place compared to his alter ego, his not knowing I think is an excellent thread that connects him directly to us, the series to the viewers.
Even with Reeves' The Batman I think one thing has become very clear (and once again I see a Daredevil heritage here): there are no perfect heroes and especially perfect heroes and the construction of their myth without a stain or a halo, does not work. It can entertain just fine, it can sow acolytes but in the end it doesn't do those characters justice.
Knowing that Steven is Marc and that Marc has a wife and that wife is inextricably linked to the god Konshu and that Marc is doing nothing but protecting her and that therefore this whole story is much bigger, but at the same time intimate, than one might imagine makes it all much more real, much more human, much more beautiful to discover and then analyze.
That around all this there are scarabs, Egyptian gods, magic and people with superpowers seems to me, at the moment, an outline and not vice versa.
If you then also have available the weapon Isaac ... the accounts can not help but return.
