Dal primo aprile su Amazon prime video troverete una nuova serie tv made in Australia che a me non è che sia piaciuta tantissimo ma che comunque voglio citarvi in modo da darvi tutte le possibilità di capire se possa fare o meno al caso vostro.
Io, ripeto, ve la sconsiglio, poi fate vobis cari miei.

La piattaforma Stan (che francamente non avevo mai sentito nominare prima di oggi) ha proposto una serie tv che per qualche strana ragione ha attirato i miei sensi di ragno seriale.
Si intitola Wolf Like Me ed ha come protagonisti Josh Gad ed Isla Fisher, non proprio Leonardo Di Caprio e Cate Blanchett ma direi che possiamo abbassare le pretese e accontentarci.
Non so perchè, non so quando ma ad un certo punto ho deciso di dare un'occhiata almeno ai primi episodi.
Il risultato?

Partiamo con un minimo di trama (se poi di trama vogliamo parlare).
Josh Gadd è Gary.
Isla Fisher è Mary.
Sembrano i primi 2 versi di una poesia scritta da un bambino di 6 anni ma tant'è che cosi hanno deciso di chiamare i protagonisti principali.
Gary è un giovane vedovo con una figlia molto problematica, reduce anch'ella da quel lutto cosi forte che le ha devastato la vita.
Gary e sua figlia non riescono a comunicare, hanno un problema pesante di comunicazione che li tiene sempre più distanti nonostante Gary si prodighi immensamente per essere quel punto di riferimento che la figlia merita di avere.
Un giorno sulla loro strada si imbatte Mary.
Molto rovinosamente e fortunosamente.
Ed allora tutto cambiò.
Mary si affeziona alla figlioletta di Gary.
Gary si affeziona molto a Mary.
I 2 si aprono l'un con l'altra.
Si avvicinano.
Potremmo dire, addirittura, che si amano a prima vista.
Tutto splendido, romantico e bellissimo se non che ad un certo punto assistiamo ad una fuga forsennata di Mary verso casa, con il povero Gary mandato in bianco proprio mentre tutto sembrava fatto.
Che qualcosa non quadrasse lo immaginavamo e che quel qualcosa fosse in qualche modo riconducibile al titolo lo avevamo capito e quindi...(adesso fate 2 + 2 però).
E quindi niente, Wolf Like Me si esaurisce fondamentalmente qui a livello narrativo.

I don't know why, I don't know when but at some point I decided to take a look at at least the first episodes.
The result?

Let's start with a little plot (if we want to talk about plot).
Josh Gadd is Gary.
Isla Fisher is Mary.
It sounds like the first two lines of a poem written by a child of 6 years but so much so that they decided to call the main characters.
Gary is a young widower with a very problematic daughter, who is also back from a very strong bereavement that devastated her life.
Gary and his daughter can not communicate, they have a heavy problem of communication that keeps them increasingly distant despite Gary does his best to be the reference point that his daughter deserves to have.
One day Mary comes across their path.
Very disastrously and fortunately.
And then everything changed.
Mary becomes attached to Gary's little daughter.
Gary becomes very attached to Mary.
The 2 open up to each other.
They grow closer.
We could even say, they love each other at first sight.
All splendid, romantic and beautiful except that at a certain point we witness a frantic flight of Mary home, with poor Gary sent to white just when everything seemed to be done.
That something did not fit we imagined and that something was somehow related to the title we understood and then ... (now do 2 + 2 though).
And so nothing, Wolf Like Me basically ends here at the narrative level.
