Introduction
This week's theme is interesting for several reasons. It will remind us of a person who inspired us and the reasons behind it.
Below, we take a detailed look at the person who has inspired me the most throughout my life and the reasons why.
Tesla inspired me to not be afraid to take on great challenges.

When I think about the challenge Tesla overcame, I can shake off the feeling of discouragement that sometimes assails me when tackling complicated issues. A man from Smiljan (now Croatia) arrived in the USA to compete with the wildly popular Edison and develop a new method for transporting electricity… it was an impossible challenge. At that time, Edison was the man of direct current, while Tesla talked about how the world could change using alternating current. At that time, Tesla developed rotating magnetic field motors, robust, efficient, and easily powered by AC. A technology unlike anything used at the time.
Tesla not only won a technological challenge, but also defeated the entire smear campaign Edison launched to make AC appear dangerous and to destroy Tesla.
The greatest challenges are the ones you face while everyone around you thinks you're crazy... Tesla inspired me to take on any challenge, as he taught me that just because the world is against you doesn't mean you're wrong.

Tesla was a scientist who always thought about the future. His goal was to improve the future of humanity, not that of a bank, a corporation, or a businessman.
There were two scientists who had a profound impact on the meaning of science: one was Galileo Galilei, the other Tesla himself.
Galileo Galilei was a revolutionary scientist because he invented the experimental method, a method based on measurement, mathematics, and controlled experiments. Before him, science relied on the authority of a few illustrious scholars or on common sense. Galileo said enough of all that; now let's start building ideal models, derive quantitative laws, and test them with repeatable experiments.
Now we come to the revolution in the scientist's image that Tesla envisioned. Nikola Tesla stated that the scientist has a specific mission: to seek the truth, create lasting foundations for the future, and put knowledge at the service of humanity.
Tesla put knowledge at the service of humanity.
He argued that science should alleviate human labor and have an ethical responsibility.
Tesla clearly stated that science should have a public utility and create lasting progress for humanity. What science should not do was create success, which he considered to be of little use because it was short-lived.

Reading some of his books and watching documentaries about him instilled in me a love of learning, science, and electromagnetism.
What always fascinated me, however, was his way of thinking.
One of his most famous quotes is the one in which he says, "The present is theirs; the future is mine."
I've been like this for many years. I live in the present, but when I build something, I do it for the future. If we work today, we'll have something tomorrow, so we must build something today, thinking about whether it will be useful tomorrow. Only then will we avoid wasting time building things that will be useless tomorrow and will be thrown away. Here too, I think Tesla was right and changed my way of thinking.
Conclusions
One person who has inspired me and continues to do so is certainly the inventor and scientist Nikola Tesla. He pursued his ideas with tenacity and strength when he had nothing but the conviction that he was right. Tesla taught me that just because everyone is against you doesn't mean you're wrong.
Tesla believed that innovative ideas should be aimed at human progress, not success. If the entire world of science and politics thought this way, we would be much better off today. Here too, Tesla inspired values in me that I carry with me today.
A company that now bears his name, the T in his honor as the unit of measurement for magnetic induction, aren't enough to remind us of the man Nikola Tesla was.

Introduzione
Il tema di questa settimana è un tema interessante per diversi motivi. Ci farà ricordare una persona che ci ha ispirato ed i motivi per cui l’ha fatto.
Qui di seguito vediamo nel dettaglio la persona che mi ha ispirato di più nel corso della mia vita ed i motivi per cui l’ha fatto.
Tesla mi ha ispirato nel non avere paura ad affrontare grandi sfide

Quando penso alla sfida che vinse Tesla, riesco a togliermi di dosso quel senso di sconforto che ogni tanto mi assale nell’affrontare questioni complicate. Un uomo che parte da Smiljan (attuale Croazia) arriva negli USA per competere con il popolarissimo Edison ed impostare un nuovo metodo per il trasporto dell’energia elettrica…era una sfida impossibile. In quel tempo Edison era l’uomo della corrente continua, mentre Tesla parlava di come il mondo avrebbe potuto cambiare usando la Corrente Alternata. A quel tempo Tesla sviluppò i motori a campo magnetico rotante, robusti, efficienti e facilmente alimentati in AC. Una tecnologia diversa da quella usata all’epoca.
Tesla non vinse solo una sfida tecnologica, ma sconfisse anche tutta la campagna diffamatoria che Edison avviò per far apparire l’AC pericolosa e per distruggere Tesla.
Le grandi sfide sono quelle che combatti mentre tutti intorno a te ti vedono come un pazzo… Tesla mi ha ispirato a intraprendere qualsiasi sfida, in quanto mi ha insegnato che se hai il mondo contro di te, non è detto che tu non abbia ragione.

Tesla è stato uno scienziato che ha sempre pensato al futuro. Il suo obiettivo era migliorare il futuro dell’umanità, non di una banca o di una società per azioni o di un affarista.
Ci sono stati due scienziati che hanno inciso molto sul significato della scienza, uno è stato Galileo Galilei, l’altro proprio Tesla.
Galileo Galilei è stato uno scienziato rivoluzionario perché inventò il metodo sperimentale, cioè un metodo fondato su misura, matematica ed esperimento controllato. Prima di lui la scienza si affidava all’autorità di qualche illustre studioso o al senso comune. Galileo disse basta con tutto questo, adesso iniziamo a costruire modelli ideali, ne ricaviamo leggi quantitative e le mettiamo alla prova con esperimenti ripetibili.
Ora veniamo alla rivoluzione della figura dello scienziato che era nella testa di Tesla. Nikola Tesla ha affermato che lo scienziato ha una missione precisa: cercare la verità, creare basi durature per il futuro e mettere la conoscenza al servizio dell'umanità.
Tesla ha messo la conoscenza al servizio dell'umanità.
Egli affermava che la scienza deve alleviare il lavoro umano ed avere una responsabilità etica.
Tesla diceva con chiarezza che la scienza deve avere un’utilità pubblica e creare un progresso durevole per l'umanità. Ciò che non doveva fare la scienza era creare il successo, che lui riteneva comunque qualcosa di poco utile perché di breve durata.

La lettura di alcuni libri che lo riguardavano, la visione dei documentari che parlavano di lui, mi hanno trasmesso l’amore per lo studio, la scienza e l’elettromagnetismo.
Quello che però mi ha sempre affascinato era il suo modo di pensare.
Una delle sue frasi più famose è quella in cui dice “Il presente è loro; il futuro è mio”.
Da tantissimi anni io sono così. Il presente lo vivo, ma quando costruisco qualcosa lo faccio per il futuro. Se lavoriamo oggi, avremo qualcosa domani, allora di conseguenza dobbiamo costruire qualcosa oggi pensando se domani ci potrà servire. Solo così non perderemo tempo a costruire cose che domani non serviranno a niente e saranno da buttare. Anche qui, secondo me Tesla aveva ragione e ha cambiato il mio modo di pensare.
Conclusioni
Una persona che mi ha ispirato e continua a farlo è certamente l’inventore e scienziato Nikola Tesla. Lui ha portato avanti le sue idee con tenacia e forza quando non aveva niente, tranne che la convinzione di aver ragione. Tesla mi ha insegnato che se hai tutti contro, non è detto che tu non abbia ragione.
Tesla pensava che le idee innovative dovevano essere rivolte al progresso umano e non al successo. Se tutto il mondo della scienza e della politica la pensasse così, oggi staremo molto meglio. Anche qui Tesla mi ha ispirato valori che oggi porto con me.
Un’azienda che oggi porta il suo nome, la T in suo onore come unità di misura dell’induzione magnetica, non bastano a ricordare che uomo fu Nikola Tesla.
