I was fortunate enough to have a nice jaunt to these delightful Spanish islands during my travels last year. I spent a bit of time in Valencia, which isn't all that far away. The opportunity presented itself and off I went!
It's less than 30 minutes flight time from Valencia to Ibiza. You can also go by boat which is a bit of fun and takes a few hours (more expensive too, or at least how it was at the time).
So a bit of time sampling San Antonio (and a little of the rest of Ibiza) then onwards to Mallorca. Another short flight and there I was. I stayed up in the north-west so had to get the ol' tourist bus transfer which was ok but not an ideal way to travel. I mostly stayed around the area I was based and not too much exploring outside what I could do on foot.
Anyway, some beautiful aspects of both islands and as it was out of season, there wasn't all the summer hustle and bustle. Which can be a good thing or bad, depending what you want…
A pleasant escapade which formed part of a very travel rich year!
