Traveling and exploring nature is one of my hobbies and a dream of mine. Traveling by train is another way to have fun and make memories. Today I'm sharing some of my favourite photos from Jacob Abad, a small town in the province of Sindh. According to its population, this city is a little crowded, with a majority of poor and rural residents. They are very hospitable in every way because poor people have a big heart for humanity.
Jacob Abad is a town located halfway between Quetta and Karachi. This is approximately 6 hours away from Karachi, which is known as one of the railway's most famous stations. This station is very busy, and trains stop here for about a half-hour because they have to change engines and switch to one of the more powerful ones due to the inclined route, which requires more force. Because of the long layover, passengers eat their lunch and do other activities in this station.
There are many traditional things to see, as evidenced by the photos. People and passengers are waiting for the next train, some are shopping, some are busy loading their luggage, and many other activities are taking place. There is always a large crowd because passengers are more active here because it is one of the busiest stations on the route from Karachi to Quetta.
The arrival is in the morning, and the sun rises, providing relief to the tired passengers. Breakfast here is another enjoyable experience that you can share with your family and friends. As you can see in the image, there are some Sindhi women shots; as I previously stated, they are rural people with very strong arms. They are strong in every way because they are hard workers who have lived through difficult times. As seen in the photo, a woman is holding a water bottle weighing approximately 10 kg on her head while waiting for the train.
In this station, there is an old water pump that is used to pull water up by vigorously pumping. The water from the well is very clean, fresh, and cold, with an excellent taste. These are all of the photos of the Jacob Abad station and the passengers' various activities. Some Sindhi traditional activities are shared with you, which are both beautiful and interesting.
I hope you enjoy the post and the photography in which I attempted to capture the beauty of the Sindhi people. If you'd like, leave a comment with your thoughts. Your kind words will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for sticking with me until the end.
