Every religion has many memorable occasions that they obey and respect. Every religion celebrates the events or religious traditions on that specific date. The 15th of Shaban (Shaban is the name in the Islamic calendar) is a famous occasion celebrated in the Muslim religion. This month comes before the month of Ramadan, which is emphasised for more worship and other good deeds. There will be more discussions this month, and I will try to cover the important events, which I will share in my next post if I get the chance.
Muslims believe in the existence of Imamat, which is a brief chapter and to understand that must be studied and comprehended. On the fifteenth of Shaban, the great event occurs in which the 12th Imam is born, and this day is celebrated as one of the great events in which they believe this is the imam of peace and truth. On this day, various Islamic programmes are held, and almost the entire city is illuminated with various lights, as shown in the photographs. People who believe in this great personality celebrate this day and wish the holy imam's birthday by wishing each other.
On this day, Muslims dress in new clothes and perfume themselves with fragrant Perfumes. They cut cakes, sing Manqabat (recitation of virtues in honour of the Imam), and have a good time all day. The preparation for this day begins one week before by decorating the road and their homes. They arrange lights and illuminate them, each of which is a different colour. The view is simply breathtaking, and it appears that everyone and everything is having a good time.
Some people even set off firecrackers to celebrate the Imam's arrival and to relive the events of that day. The streets and houses are all lit up with new and colourful lights. On this night, special offerings are made, and people pray for a better future. It is advised that they stay awake this night and worship God by pleading for forgiveness for their sins. Different functions are organised at various mosques, and worshippers sing Manqabat and recite poems that enlighten the function, and people enjoy this night.
Because this is a long night and you have to stay up all night offering various prayers, the administration also arranges various types of food and refreshment for the people. People to the last of the function eat tasty foods and cut cakes before returning home and hoping for a better and more successful future. This day, which is a part of Eid such as EID UL FITR AND AZHA, is celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm.
This is a brief discussion of the memorable event in which Muslims welcomed the arrival of their 12th Imam and expressed their love. I hope you enjoyed this informative post and will leave feedback in the comments section. Keep an eye out for my next interesting post. Thank you for sticking with me until the end.
