Peekaboo
Sneaking on a leaf
Crawling on my lantana plant
Good evening, amazing people in the house!
I learned something about myself earlier today: I didn't know I was a karate queen. That's right. I learned this because I walked into my backyard to check on my lantana plant that has started blooming, and I thought of taking some photos of it. While in the middle of my photography moments, I noticed something jump on my arm. I had no idea what it was, but I felt it. I looked around at my arm, and it wasn't there anymore. Man, I hate surprises like this. So okay, I continued taking photos, and they landed on my phone. Peekaboo! A tiny bitty little creepy crawly. I just made a rhyme right there. I am not scared of these creatures, but man, that caught me off guard. I am glad no one was looking, as it probably looked like I was having a seizure or something. Too early for Halloween, huh?
I am not good at naming spiders, but I am familiar with a few species. The most common spider I know is the house spider with bubble butt and those ones with skinny long legs, so I looked up online what the name of this tiny villain was. As per my research, it is called the "Two-Striped Jumping Spider". It is a very tiny spider that crawls on plants, and it is about half an inch in size or even smaller. The front part is a combination of black and orange, and the back part is brown. I am not sure, though, if what I saw was a female or a male since it crawls way too fast. It says that a female one has a bigger abdomen compared to a male one.
Anyway, sharing this macro photography of this tiny dude with you all. Say hi to my new little friend!
