When it comes to Buddhist Lent Laotian people who practice Buddhism will join together to make preach offerings to the monks. ( Lent is a Buddhist law. which all monks must follow, meaning sedentary prayer, not wandering to various places unless there is a real necessity The rainy season is during the rainy season, which is the first waxing moon of the 8th to the 15th lunar month of the 11th month of every year. Therefore, the Buddhist Lent Day means the day when Buddhist monks pray regularly in the temple itself ). Today, my family and the people in the our village brought preach offerings to the monks at the temple in the village at the same time. This merit making we all believe is a great merit and will bring prosperity to all of us.

สวัสดีค่ะเพื่อนๆที่หน้ารักทุกคน,
เมื่อถึงช่วงเข้าพรรษาปวงชนชาวลาวที่นับถือศาสนาพุทธ ก็มักจะร่วมกันทวายสังฆทานให้กับพระสงสามเณร (การเข้าพรรษา เป็นพุทธบัญญัติ ซึ่งพระภิกษุทุกรูปจะต้องปฏิบัติตาม หมายถึง การอธิษฐานอยู่ประจำที่ไม่เที่ยวจาริกไป ยังสถานที่ต่างๆ เว้นแต่มีกิจจำเป็นจริง ๆช่วงจำพรรษาจะอยู่ในช่วงฤดูฝนคือแรม ๑ ค่ำ เดือน ๘ ถึง ๑๕ ค่ำ เดือน ๑๑ ของทุกปี ดังนั้น วันเข้าพรรษา หมายถึง วันที่พระภิกษุในพระพุทธศาสนาอธิษฐานอยู่ประจำในวัดนั้น เอง). วันนี้ครอบครัวของฉัน และ ประชาชนภายในบ้านก็ได้นำสังฆทานมาทวายให้พระพิคุสงที่วัดภายในหมู่บ้านพร้อมๆกันค่ะ. การทำบุญครั้งนี้พวกเราทุกคนเชื่อว่ามันเป็นบุนกุสนอันยิ่งใหญ่ และ จะนำความรุ่งเรืองมาสู่พวกเราทุกคน.
