My 30th birthday was a few days ago. No, I didn't do anything crazy to celebrate. However, I did have well over 50 people wish me a happy birthday. That is the most in years and although I'm not a huge birthday person, it still means a lot that people took time out of their day to think of me.
I posted this video on the day of my birthday and so many people showed support. There were close to 100 comments, mostly people wishing me a warm welcome to my 30s. I appreciate each of you equally for this. I'm used to less than 5 people contacting me on my birthday. Typically, it's my parents, gf, and brother. Maybe a couple of random people on Facebook, but even that doesn't really happen because I'm not active on my FB profile much anymore.
I spent this birthday with . We just had a relaxing day together doing a few things around town. We started the day by going to a restaurant called Recovery for lunch. They had dozens of TVs there and had every single Sunday NFL game going. We watched and ate for about an hour and then left.
Next, we made a quick trip to the mall since Hannah was wanting to get some new leggings from Aerie. The place was nearly empty as usual, but there were still some cosplayers walking around who were in town for the convention across the street. My girl found what she was looking for and then we walked back home.
Once home we watched something on tv for a few hours until we eventually got bored and hungry again. We found a hilarious new show on Hulu called Reboot. It is seriously one of the funniest tv shows ever. We also watched this movie on Netflix called Jexi and it too was so freaking hilarious. I highly recommend both to anybody looking for a good laugh.
I didn't take a ton of photos throughout the day, but I did make sure to get a few to document. I wore my Houston Astros shirt, although I'm not even excited about the MLB Playoffs. She had on her new Buffalo Bills hoodie and we watched the Bills demolish the Steelers. That game wasn't even close and I couldn't be happier about it.
To end the night we went for a late dinner at Plaza Maya, which is a local restaurant that we had never been to. It was pretty good and it was literally half the price of our lunch. I didn't even tell them it was my birthday like I would have as a kid. They usually give out a free dessert, but I honestly didn't even care since made me some delicious applesauce cookies earlier in the evening.
Not much else to share about my birthday. It was probably my most chill one ever, which I very much appreciate. It was a great day and I'm happy that I have someone to share times like these with. I'm sure my parents are happy to see me make it to 30 years old, I imagine having a kid and watching it grow up must be unlike anything else in this world.
Thanks again to everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday!
