on this occasion, I will share a little story of my experience when I was in a fishing village catching fish, this activity is called Jak Meujeu
Jak Meujeu
Jak Meujeu is the name of the activity of a fisherman who catches fish using pull Jala, Jala are fishing nets made of yarn, various types of thread, ranging from plastic thread, nylon thread and tangi thread, most of the fishermen here carry out Jak Meujeu activities in the afternoon.
Jak meujeu is done at low tide, well.!!! Thus, here is one of the places I visited that afternoon, usually when the evening tides here are full of water, but today the tides are very supportive for these fishermen who want to go to Jak Meujeu.
That afternoon I was just passing by to look for and hunt for Sunset at that time, but I was interested in seeing the activities of these fishermen doing Jak Meujeu, Jak Meujeu there are two kinds of names, the first is Jak Meujeu and the second is Jak Meujala, but this version is Jak Meujeu.
Regarding this place, located in Pusong Village, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh Regency, State of Indonesia, many people out there say that Indonesia is an archipelagic country, culture, language, customs and types of food are many, but in today's post it is one of culture. traditional fishing is done by several fishermen in this Pusong village.
One of them can be seen in this photo that I took using my smartphone, it can be seen that a grandfather who can be said to be elderly is still doing this kind of work, and at his current age he should take more rest and spend his old age with activities that are not strenuous like this.
Shot after shot that I took with my smartphone camera resulted in some photography for me to share with Hive friends, and of course to #Liketu users as a story I want to share on my blog, some of this photography can explain how life in the village is for the people of Indonesia. the fishermen in the village of Pusong, hopefully they can represent the vision that everyone can see.
Then I tried to communicate with a grandfather who works as a fisherman, I asked him about his daily income by fishing in places like this, this grandfather also told me about his income regarding the money he earned from selling this small fish, Money what he gets by selling this fish is enough for him to eat everyday, he said. I was curious about the words, so I asked again.
How much profit did grandfather get from selling fish when he took Meujeu?, He answered Rp. 15,000,-. Rp.15.000, - if converted to USD only 1$. I guess this is a meager income, at that time I gave some of my money to him, and I hope he can put it to good use.
Then it was getting dark, I had to get ready to go back home, because what I expected to get some sunset photos I didn't get, but I got something else at that time, namely Jak Meujeu Activity.
