I've started making clay figurines. The first thing I made was this cute little cat with simple but very tender shapes.
It's a bit complicated for me because I don't have all the tools or the powerful kiln needed to fire the pieces so they're hard and durable. Still, I'm lucky to have friends who work with clay professionally and provide me with all these materials. At first, I thought about leaving it natural, but I opted for painting, and I don't regret it because it gives it the touch it needed; I think it gained personality and expression with the colors.
He comenzado a hacer figuritas de barro. Lo primero que hice fue este lindo gatito de formas simples pero muy tiernas.
Es un poco complicado para mí porque no poseo todas las herramientas y el potente horno que se necesita para cocinar las piezas para que queden duras y resistentes. Aun así, tengo la suerte de contar con amigos que si trabajan el barro de forma profesional y me proveen de todos estos materiales. Primero pensé en dejarlo al natural, pero me decanté por la pintura y no me arrepiento pues le da el toque que necesitaba; pienso que adquirió personalidad y expresión con los colores.
