An open letter to one of my first mentors in Virginia Food Inc., my first/current job, who is leaving us to embark on a new adventure.
Hi Sir Herbert,
It has been a pleasure to work with you and to have you as a mentor. I can't express my gratitude to you enough for all the invaluable lessons you taught me. I gained the ability to plan ahead and complete my work on schedule. I discovered that it's important to always be calm when speaking with coworkers. You taught me the value of excellent customer service. These are the few things I learned from you. And of all the knowledge you imparted to me, especially in my line of work. You taught me how to be a good son. I can tell how important your family is to you over other things. You usually make sure to set aside money to send to your family members who are far away. Despite how difficult life is, you have never complained. You’ve been a good role model towards your siblings, especially to your younger brother. I'm amazed by this, Sir. I respect you so much because of this. The fact that you are leaving us made me sad. However, as a kind person and a diligent worker, you merit the very best in life. Without you in the workplace, things are just so much harder, but I'm looking forward to your future adventures. I bid you farewell and wish you success! See you around, Sir.
Love,
Lance
