Hi, how are you all? Recently, my left eye often feels shadowy when exposed to light, so I visited an ophthalmologist for an examination, and it turned out that my left eye had a cylinder. Although it didn't have a severe cylinder, sometimes it wasn't enjoyable when driving at night, and finally, I decided to buy glasses from a local brand.
These glasses are excellent, starting from the eyeglass frames, the box, and the glasses pouch, so I took a product photo for the glasses I just bought. My habit is when I buy a product that I think has good quality, I am excited to take a photo, even though I do this without paying a penny, but I am happy when I see the results of my work are good.
The most crucial thing in starting photography is that we must like whatever our results are. Even if people say it is ugly or ordinary, I don't think we need to take it to heart because it will only become a burden. I often encounter people who have just started photography asking for too much judgment from others, resulting in various positive and negative comments. Still, not everyone has an open heart in accepting these comments, so some people would drown in nasty comments from people they didn't know. It's better if we ask for an assessment from friends, or if you want to get criticism about the technicalities of photography, ask a friend who is a photographer.
To get good photos in general (i.e., the proper exposure), you have to go through various kinds of practice, so getting good photos will not be done instantly, especially if it's the first time holding the camera.
I still clearly remember the first time I held the camera. What I did was play with auto mode. Because I was utterly blind to things related to photography technicalities, I didn't understand even the exposure triangle at that time. Gradually, out of curiosity, I finally started playing with manual mode and began to learn about the meaning of the exposure triangle. Sometimes, the photos I take can still be under or over-exposed. However, even though the photos taken can sometimes be under-exposed or over-exposed, there are times when the photos in that state are our best photos. So don't be afraid to explore making photo works.
