I have been reliving my travels to Zambales lately. I've written two blogs about my solo trip to that province in the Philippines. I've also made Liketu posts for my more recent travels to it. One striking feature of the place is its black beaches, particularly in Santa Cruz. Just when I thought the beach couldn't be more striking, I witness a sunset on it filled with dazzling colors. My phone couldn't do justice to the real beauty I saw, of course.
During this trip, my family and I arrived late in the afternoon and we didn't have any more time left to go to the beach except that afternoon. Just as the sun was going down, we made our way into the water. Our early night swimming was illuminated by the fading light of the setting sun. The water was slightly warm and the waves were gentle. We stayed in the water until it was too dark and we were too scared of staying longer in the water.
I remember the calmness of standing in waist-high water while swaying with the waves and seeing a glorious sunset. And before I knew it, it was over and gone.
