I was hired for a part time job and I went to the training for it. It had been a long time since I had worked for hire, and it had been more than a decade since I had been in training. The photos were taken near the training site.
About 20 years ago, the company I joined after graduating from university was a fairly athletic company, and the training for new employees was a week-long overnight stay, military style. Arriving at the training site, at first, the employee who had private conversation and the appearance violation was gathered in one place, and they were said, "Go home!" and threatened with intimidation.
Male employees had their hair cut or trimmed on the spot if it was even slightly long (although this practice has since been discontinued...). During the training, we were made to chant the corporate philosophy over and over again so loudly that the windows seemed to shatter. Looking back on it now, it was insane. On the last day, we had to walk long distances, including through mountains and by the sea. Are there still companies that offer that kind of training today?
That is what "training" meant to me, so I entered the training hall for this part-time job training with some nervousness. However, the instructor on the first day was a very pleasant young man who radiated an unusual freshness and praised me for everything I did. "That's wonderful! Perfect!" etc. ... Since the training is for two days, I was tempted to think that the kindness on the first day was a trap and that a devilish instructor was waiting for me on the second day. I was very cautious, but the man who appeared on the second day, who seemed to be in his 40s or 50s, was also very nice and kind, which made me feel a little disappointed.
Is it because it is a part time job training? Or is this the modern way? I was surprised at how different it was from the training I received in the past.
