This is the Drina river, which is formed by the confluence of the Tara and Piva rivers, one kilometer from this place. On the way back from the sea, from Montenegro, crossing the canyon of the Piva river, you arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the Drina river originates. Its course continues all the way to the part of Serbia, which is called Mačva, and in the town of Crna Bara, the Drina river flows into the Sava. The Drina flows past my hometown and I spent the best days of my childhood on that river. That is why I can proudly say that the Drina is my river. The famous Hollywood actor Robert De Niro, once staying in our country, which used to be called Yugoslavia, also fell in love with this river and named his daughter Drina after it.
