After a long hiatus in UAE, we finally decided to return to our roots in the Philippines. We planned a special family get-together during this much-awaited homecoming. The highlight of our vacation was our visit to Lambingan Hills in Cuyambay,Tanay,Rizal.
Setting off from home in our trusty old Pajero, we anticipated a smooth journey. Lambingan Hills, well-connected yet just enough off the beaten track, welcomed us with open arms. A private vehicle seems to be the best choice for reaching this hidden gem.
The moment we arrived, we were greeted by the majestic sight of the Sierra Madre. Its resplendent beauty against the clear, blue sky was breathtaking. This was nature at its finest, untouched and unspoiled.
The main activity at Lambingan Hills is to conquer its peak. As a family, we decided to challenge ourselves and embarked on this exciting climb.
The view at the top was worth every step taken – the verdant landscape stretching as far as the eye could see was an unforgettable sight.
We had packed our favorite foods, making our lunch at the hilltop a memorable picnic. The afternoon brought more visitors, transforming the tranquil morning landscape into a lively panorama of families and friends relishing their time in nature.
The beauty of the Sierra Madre left an indelible mark on us. Often termed as the protector of Metro Manila during typhoons, experiencing its grandeur firsthand was awe-inspiring.
A tip for future visitors - try to reach early in the day. An early start not only helps avoid the crowds but also gives ample time to soak in the beauty of the place and maximize the experience.
The magnificence of this creation reminded us of the wonders of God's creation and the natural defenses He has bestowed upon us.
The trip to Lambingan Hills was more than just a getaway. It was an opportunity for us to reconnect with our roots, appreciate the beauty of our homeland, and bond as a family. The overarching impression that we took away from this trip was a newfound appreciation for the Sierra Madre and the bountiful natural beauty that the Philippines has to offer.
In a world that's increasingly concrete, places like Lambingan Hills remind us of the importance of preserving these pockets of nature. As we look back at the pictures, they serve as beautiful reminders of our wonderful journey, etching the stunning Sierra Madre permanently in our hearts.
