A breezy summer, eh?
The Millionaire Banana
I love warmer days and lots of sunshine where I could be outside, taking a walk or capturing photos of stuff, flowers, and anything I see along the way. Unfortunately, the monsoon season up here is rather long and the rain has been incessant for weeks (day and night). If I would have to be honest, it's already taking a toll on my sanity, lol!
In previous years if I remember correctly, there was a time when the monsoon lasted for 2 straight months, and we (well I, specifically) survived!
"Be your own sunshine," they say and so I have been trying to do that in the last 3 weeks or so. I was not to let the weather steal my joy. Although at times, it does.
Anyhow, the husband went out in the morning to attend the wake of an aunt down the valley. I opted to stay because it's cold or my arthritis will get the better of me and I really hate it when it happens so yep, another indoor day for me.
I had the chance to go over photographs and things on my files, deleting many of them until I came across some that were taken during the town's fiesta back in March which I haven't shared so why not do it today?
The first two photos are of a shawarma rice in a paper box which we brought back home on that day. It might look spicy but it actually isn't, just some food coloring I suppose.
Succeeding three were photographed from the oval when some morning programs concluded. It was breezy that day which explains why the umbrellas are rather distorted.
And the last shot was of a so-called "Millionaire Banana" based on the tag. They were very tiny, perhaps one piece is just the size of a man's thumb. The bunch was hanging by the wall of one of the display huts.
